Hoy he instalado un thermaltake schooner en mi xfx 6600 gt. Es un disipador sin ventiladores. La tajetaha alcanzado los 68º sin darle mucha caña. Esta sin overclockear.

¿A que temperatura se me puede joder la tarjeta?
¿hayalguna aplicacion que me apague el pc si la tarjeta alcanza cierta temperatura?

Si jugando no te pasa de 68ªC es una buena temperatura, más que suficiente. Este chip empieza a tener problemas por encima de los 100ºC, así que no tienes que preocuparte.

No creo que el DVD Rebuilder tire de gráfica, jugar o pasar un benchmark gráfico son la mejor opción para calentar la gráfica.
