Para mi gusto, es mejor la tipica silicona transparente para los baños, que ademas absorbe los ruidos y vibraciones que se transmitan al meta y deja la caja mas "hermetica" contra el polvo.

Lo de la cinta de doble cara, pues te puede servir, depende del grosor de la goma que hallas puesto en el borde (si le has puesto, claro), ya que sino tendras que forzar mucho el meta para que llegue a tocar con la chapa.
