Insufficient performance network card

buenaas! tengo una conexión ADSL de ya.com a 512kb ( con un router Wi-fi ).
El problema vino cuando instalé en el ordenador una tarjeta de red D-Link AirPlus XtremeG+ DWL-G520+ Wireless PCI. Dsd entonces el rendimiento en los juegos on-line es muy pobre asi como la navegación por internet, a alguien se le ocurre que puede ser? ( tengo los antivirus desconectados, windows Xp service pack 1 etc..)
Lo más raro del caso es que la señal es muy buena según Windows..
