Para que se usa este adaptador? Para conectar a CRTs tarjetas de video con salida de DVI unicamente, o para conectar a TFTs tarjetas sin salida DVI, o para ambas cosas???

Ayer en un TFT LG1915s con grafica 6600, vi que en la salida de la grafica llevaba un adaptador, y me parecio raro, ya que creo que iba en la salida analogica, y al monitor iba a la unica entrada que tiene, la D-Sub 15.
