Problems with Mandriva 2006

Wenas, tengo Mandriva 2006 KDE.
me suelen aparecer errores del tipo enviar o no enviar de windows, pero al estilo linux. errores de KDE. Tambien se me a llegado a blokear el ekipo entero 2 o 3 veces i no rube mas remedio k resetear desd la torre. Tambien e tenido problemas con el fastab o fstab nosek como se llama :P) k me borro todos los puntos de montage i no podia arrancar, como no sabia como editarlo pa k funcionara bien, volvi a reinstalar el mandriva, usando las mismas particiones i sin formatear para no perder nada.en fin.. mi pc es un:
p4 3ghz northwood HT
Gigabyte 8ipe1000-g
1gb dual channel ddr400
ati radeon 9200SE (aceleracion por hardware)
2 HD Sata 160gb i 200gb
