Windows XP check disk results?

Tengo el windows xp professional service pack2 instalado en mi pc. Multitud de veces le he hecho un scandisk al disco duro aunque creo que en xp se llama checkdisk o algo asi. El caso es que para realizarlo, windows xp me pide reiniciar el pc, realiza el "escaneo" y cuando termina se inicia windows `pero no se si ha encontrado sectores defectuosos y cuales estan defectuosos. Me gustaria saber si los resultados de dicho escaneo se guardan en algun sitio y sino, me gustaria saber de algun programa que me informara de los clusteres defectousos. Gracias
