RAID-1 and misreported disk space

Saludoa a todos, tengo un RAID-1 montado por soft en mi woody, pero me he dado cuenta de que informa mal del espacio en disco, dice 70% ocupado (con el comando df) cuando en realidad ya no me deja escribir mas sin borrar nada.
Puede ser debido a un error lógico en algun disco? o acaso es espacio que se pierde con el raid (parece exagerado un 30%)? si le paso un fsck, se lo paso a /dev/md0 o a cada disco por separado?
esta en ext2, me recomendais que lo pase a ext3?
