      Hello,

I'm a bit desperate and I'm turning to you for some help. I currently have a coolbox PC with an i5 640; 8gb ram 1600; foxcon motherboard (I don't know the model but it's a small one); gigabyte Gt 240 1gb ddr5 graphics card and a 750w power supply.

I've been trying to configure the graphics card so that I can play games in an acceptable way, specifically Fallout 3 and League of legends, which I thought wouldn't be too demanding, but apparently I was very wrong, as both are giving me a lot of problems. I updated the directx and the card's drivers, but when I apply a very modest configuration to these games, neither of them runs well, Fallout is laggy and League of legends looks pixelated to me :S

At the moment, I'm excited to continue playing at my 1920x1080 resolution, but here's my question: is it possible and do I need to remove all the filters (Antialiasing and samples) to be able to access or continue with it, or what else should I do?

Of course, I would appreciate any help.

P.D: I would also like to know if you know of any program to check the performance of the card, since my only way to do it is by trying games and comparing with friends...

Hehe miracles cannot be done, it is evident that you will have to deactivate the filters, lower the quality and in the drivers put "maximum performance" to be able to play at 1080, it is that your graphics card is already in need of an update.

We have in the forum a section of benchmarks where there are a few for graphics cards, there you can measure a little the performance of your 260 and compare with other graphics cards.

          Thanks for the advice

I was hoping to take a break from investing more money, but I can see that the market is demanding ?

For such a high resolution, you should look at a card with a 256 bus, right?

Benmarch, I agree, I'll look into it now.

          Thanks again

Right now the most recommended graphics cards would be: 560, 6870, 560ti and 6950. From lowest to highest performance and also price.

You're welcome, and welcome to HL ?
