Aureon 7.1 PCI on Windows 7 64-bit
-
Well that's it, it's impossible to find drivers for that Terratec sound card.
On the official site and some others they provide drivers, specifically version "7.12.8.1740" (W-7 32 and 64 Bits), but they are BETA and me and many people, from what I've been reading on the web, it doesn't work.
Is there any way to find the drivers for that card for W-7 (if Terratec releases some in the future...), I know people who create their own drivers.I need help.... =(

If it's an out-of-date product, they did a lot by releasing a Beta driver

Remember that they only make money by selling new products, so either they try to force the use of Vista drivers or they release the Beta (in both cases running as Administrator).
If there are many of you, maybe you have some forum where you can help each other (I couldn't find anything), or you could make enough noise so that they make you a new one (because the cost of bad publicity exceeds that of making it).

I had a bad attempt at installing Windows 7 32-bit on a partition and checking if the drivers it comes with are any good. For almost all the peripherals without drivers that I have tried, it has always resulted in…
Good luck in any case.Regards

Do you have more than 4GB of RAM? I don't have 64-bit drivers either and I don't want to change my card. If you can't find anything and you don't use up 4GB of RAM, you could switch to 7 32.

If the problem is that I have "Windows 7 64 Bits original" and of course... I also have 6 GB of RAM.
A solution could be the "partition" that Sylver talks about.
What I have not been able to understand is what Fassou means in reference to the Vista drivers and the part about running as administrator.
Regards and thanks for all the information you are providing me -
You can use the 6 Gb of ram in Windows 7 32-bit. You just have to activate PAE. The only limitation is that there can not be threads of execution that consume more than 4 Gb.

A moment, but then in Windows 7 32 Bits should I get rid of that Terratec card?
The Betas are for 32 and 64 bits. If they haven't worked with the 64, I say that in 32 they won't either?

It's probably the ones that come with Windows 7 32-bit that will work and not the BETA ones, because that's how it usually happens, with the obvious exception of graphics and some motherboard drivers. We can't be sure it will work, but it's worth a try.
Best regards

in reference to the Vista drivers and running as administrator.
When you run the Setup with the drivers on Windows 7, use "Run as Administrator" (right mouse button) to avoid permission problems when copying files.
If it doesn't work with the Beta, uninstall it properly and restart before trying with the Vista ones.
