      Hello
I have my old headphones that have lasted me 3 years and they are not very good

Now at Christmas I have saved a little and I want to buy the best headphones on the market

I have seen these: http://noble-press.com/2011/08/18/razer-tiamat-the-worlds-first-true-7-1-gaming-headset/ and I do not know if you know of better ones

My sound card is Audigy 2.. I think it supports 7.1… if anyone knows and can confirm it better
I can't buy speakers because the pc is in a room with a small child
      Thanks

That brand doesn't seem very good... apart from the fact that they are already on the 10th series: ULTRASONE PRO 2900
The features seem minor compared to what I mentioned
              I want them for gaming

For me, the ones I like to play with the most are the beyerdynamic mmx300. For listening to music, there are plenty more to choose from, and it also depends on the type of music you listen to, but of the ones that have passed through my hands without costing a kidney, I would stick with the sennheiser hd25 of all time.

Incrediboy the hd 25 are the best option to connect them to the MIDI controller or mixing desk in places with a lot of people but for gaming I don't think it's the best, if you want something decent for gaming I wouldn't spend more than 100€ I bought myself a pair of roccar kave for gaming which along with a decent sound card is great.

nono, I said that for gaming I stick with the mmx300, the hd25 I like for listening to music (because I hate listening to ambient noise).

well, the same as incrediboy asks you: why do you want headphones? for music? what kind of music and in what format? or for gaming? it's not the same to have headphones for gaming as for listening to music, and it's not the same to listen to MP3s as to listen to an original CD or vinyl ?

on the other hand, it seems that it doesn't matter the money because you don't put any buts on the price of the ULTRASONE EDITION 8 :mudo: spending that kind of money on headphones for a HIFI system is okay, but for a PC, it's not (unless it's for professional use and in that case, I'm surprised you have that card) :rollani:

edit: you want headphones for gaming :D:D

Without wanting to offend anyone, and from my humble opinion, everything that surpasses the Beyerdynamic MMX 3 (speaking of gaming) or a Sennheiser HD 650 is not appreciable at a human level and they offer excellent sound quality.

Always taking into account that everyone can do what they think is best, of course...

                        Best regards.

I think it's not offensive, let's just say :risitas:

I agree with Techno about the HD25. I have them for DJing because they are robust, modular and isolate like crazy, a good work tool for a studio or a DJ but, for home use, whether it's music, movies or games, I would get a pair of Beyer Dynamic DT-770 80 Ohm on Amazon.es and look for a decent headphone amp card or better yet a dedicated one, with a decent sound card of course.

The MMX-300 are more multimedia/gaming but the headphones are the same as the DT-770, the thing is that it comes with mic and USB. Good option for PC and console or for a gamer looking for integrated mic, or to save money on buying a card and an amp (especially for those who usually use headphones and are not looking for good sound in speakers), although you can also make a makeshift with a clip-on mic + DT-770 if you don't need USB to connect to a play 3 for example.

Personally, I think that anyone who wants surround sound should get speakers and an amp, from 300€ there are kits that start to sound good.

I have a pair of beyerdynamic dt770 pro and I can assure you that they are not like the mmx300. According to what I've been told, the mmx300 are an improved version of the dt770 premium adapted to the profile required by a "gamer" user. If one of these days you come to visit me, I'll let you try the dt770 and the mmx300 to see if you still say they are the same :vayatela:

EDIT: you see it? It's obvious that they are not the same ?

This is what an expert from another forum was saying, with no notable differences between them. Of course I was not referring to the aesthetic aspect. Have you compared both by analog? Do you have the 80 Ohm ones or the 250 ones?

The truth is that I didn't put "Pro" because I don't remember what model of 770 this guy said, but yes, I've looked at the impedance of the MMX and it must be like the Premium 32. What I think is nonsense is the gamer response, it's almost like making a gamer source. You can bump into a symphonic orchestra doing epic music for a role-playing game, or heavy rock, or electronic music.

if I remember correctly my dt770s are 32ohm and the mmx300s are 30 or something like that. The "gamer" thing seemed like nonsense to you because you didn't understand what I was referring to. You can have some great headphones with a very sweet sound or with some amazing bass that gives you goosebumps, but if you try to play a shooter with that you won't have any idea where they're shooting at you from, I don't know if I explained it well. The mmx300s have the different frequencies pretty much equalized (I don't know how to say it, there are no sounds that cover others), everything is heard very clearly and it's pretty easy to know the origin of a noise without having to look at the screen to see where it's coming from.

There is no headset that "is the best", you can spend whatever you want and there will be someone who likes it more or less, sound is not universal, everyone has their own ears. Of all, I think you are looking for a headset for games, right?

Some gaming headphones but with the best sound they can give me... since I'm going to spend money, they should be very good... or the best... the "best" for gamers, which ones would they be?
