Existential doubt in times of crisis

How viable do you think the GTX is? Is it really that noticeable? Or is it more marketing than efficiency?
Because, thinking about it, in the long run with my GTX I'll be at a disadvantage, as new titles come out... I'm afraid the poor thing will become obsolete.
So, is the difference really that big? Will I double my FPS? -
I've been reading and on the other hand, it seems that to notice something I should have a large screen, at least 24".
Mine is 22" and I just bought it. And it's not viable to change it now. I'm already late. -
You wouldn't notice anything, 22 and 24" have the same resolution. An SSD won't help you more than to reduce loading times. In my opinion you should save it that surely within not much you will need a new graphics card.

New? regardless of what I mount the sli... damn…
I understand then that I should sell the graphics card and buy another? a 560? -
No, I say in the future, new graphics will come out, let's say by the middle of the year or the end, you should update… SLI is fine if, for example, right now you couldn't play any game properly, so you look for a deal or a second-hand one and set up the SLI. But if not in a year or so, save the money and you'll see what you do.
What you could use is another memory module, and they are cheap, because right now you only have dual channel in 4GB of RAM.Edit. No, it's trichannel… I was thinking that you have LGA1156. -
I already bought it not long ago and it's set to triple channel. 3x2gb ddr3.
So clarify me, you don't see it viable for me to spend a cent, do you? not even buying another gtx for 80€ -
Depending on how cheap the second graphics card is (it must be on sale) SLI is a good option.
What Bm4n is saying is that with the evolution that games are currently having, your equipment won't take long to need a more powerful one, even SLI will be too small for you in the not too distant future.Regards

Be careful with Palit, I have seen models of the same reference like Gigabyte and Asus and Palit come with for example 192bit in the 560 and Gigabyte and Asus 256, the same thing happens with the 460.

If you see that you need to buy another one, but if not, it's better to save it for a new generation one.
-
by the way, the new
ATIAMD come out on December 22, they have brought the date forward -
by the way on december 22nd the new

Well, the thing is that I'm starting to see that with the gtx I'll be short, until now I played at 1280x1024 resolution, now with the new monitor, in full hd it seems that it's a bit more sluggish.
The palit, is the sonic version of 700Mhz and 256 bit tb, for 90€. I think that the frequency varies both of the clock and of the graphics processor. For the rest, same bits, same memory.
The only problem is having to change the source. And the real performance in practice, if it's efficient or not.
Seeing your comments, it doesn't seem to be a big handicap to do sli. From what I understand you're more of a high-end graphics card, than two mid-range ones.
I don't understand so many reviews that it performs like the 580 in sli if then in practice, it becomes obsolete. Something doesn't add up -
Your source would hold up without any problems. I don't think it's necessary to change it.
Just as the SLI will give you a performance similar to that of a 580, the 580 itself will become obsolete in a short time, but that's something that happens with all hardware. That's why both will eventually be replaced.
What they tell you is that those 90€ can be 1/3 more or less of the next high-end graphics card you can buy if you save up, and when the new graphics card models come out that leave behind those that are currently high-end. If it's not the market or the wear and tear, it will be the software that asks for the update, and beware that this is not the norm, in fact you can buy a 580 now and it will give you a fight for up to X years, like any good graphics card, or exactly the same with the SLI, but the logical thing is that sooner or later you will update, because the software you use (games...) asks for it or because you want to improve the image quality even more, etc.
Be sure that the hardware will always improve, and that the recreational software (and non-recreational) will always ask for more and more.
Best regards -
Well, it will become obsolete, I already know it. Back in 2009 when I bought the i7, they told me that the second generation would come out the following year. Well, the third one came out and for now it continues to perform well.
Unfortunately, yes, I have to change the power supply. My power supply is Tacens and it's good, but… it only comes with two 12v connectors and one -12v. Maybe it can be fixed by changing the wiring. But I can't even think about it in case it burns out later.
Damn, if the GTX 580 becomes obsolete in a year I'll sell the PC and burn down the house.:D I know they will keep releasing new pixel shaders, new DirectX, etc., etc... but as of today, there are still games coming out with DX10 and shader 3.
On the other hand, they offered me to change the graphics card + €100 for the 570. It seems like it's getting more and more interesting. -

Desgraciadamente si, he de cambiar fuente.

Tambien voy a tener q cambiar fuente? -
