AMD Radeon 6770M problem
-
Hello everyone.
I have a small problem. I have an HP Dv6-6151ss laptop with an i7-2630QM processor and an AMD Radeon 6770M graphics card. The OS is Windows 7 Home (64-bit).It turns out that in Device Manager I see two graphics cards, an Intel HD Graphics 3000 (which I think is integrated with the i7 processor) and the Radeon 6770M.
The thing is that when I start Skyrim (for example) it only sees the Intel and the Radeon as if it didn't exist. DirectX also takes the Intel and completely ignores the Radeon. When I try to disable the Intel, the system stays as when you leave it without video drivers. I have updated both the Radeon and Intel drivers and I'm still in the same situation. I also went into the BIOS to try to disable the Intel but the BIOS doesn't have those options.
I think the system takes the Intel as the "main card" and doesn't let the Radeon act (I suppose, I have no idea).
Does anyone know how I can solve the problem?Attached are screenshots of the AIDA64 application:

I answer myself after investigating for a while.
Apparently I had "Exchangeable Graphics" enabled on the laptop, that is, when the laptop is used without being plugged into the electrical network, the Intel is activated and the Radeon is deactivated to lower the laptop's consumption.
The thing is that this feature didn't work well for me and the Intel was always activated.Best regards.

It's probably a bug.
I know that Nvidia's "Optimus" disconnects the graphics to save energy and connects it when there is a lot of graphics demand. But I don't know if AMD/HP does something similar.Best regards.
