Hello, I am still undecided about the graphic
-
Hi, a while ago I commented that I had graphics problems, especially that I couldn't play fallout3 at high graphics and a HD resolution (with a gtx240 ddr5 1gb) and you recommended me the gtx560 graphics, well, at that time I couldn't change the graphics but now after the holidays I have been able to save 250€ for the graphics and when choosing, I got confused with the features and brands; Let's see if someone could explain to me a little about the OC features (from what I have read overclock (which I don't know how to do or is it already done?)), TI a new generation or something like that that makes it go better and the twin force better cooling (does it really matter? it's 30€ more...). Let's see if you could recommend me a good choice about the price I can afford.
Thanks in advance

P.D: Hi, my name is Juan and I'm addicted.. because of fallout3... and I like it
; I say this because I intend to play bf3 too (because of the choice of the graphics I say this). -
Hello Juan, right now the prices are as they were a year ago and a bit higher than a few months ago. We hope that the new graphics (when they come out) will be a boost in the market because this is a joke. Let's see if you can afford a 7850 with 2GB (at this point I wouldn't look at anything with less memory) or if the 6970 goes down to 250 euros.

+1. Also, to play in Full HD, some games are showing that it's starting to be necessary to have a graphics card with 1.5 Gigabytes of memory, because the 560 GTX TI, even in SLI, can lag in games like BF3. Mind you, I'm talking about Full HD and with filters... if you play at a lower resolution, it's still a very good graphics card, although it's still expensive for what it offers. There are graphics cards like the Ati 6870 that can be found for about 50€ less and perform similarly, slightly less, but similarly. And if you buy a 5850 from the ones reviewed by PCComponentes, there are some for under 100€ and they perform quite well too.
If you can, wait a couple of months, especially because in the future it's being proven that some games will already need graphics cards with at least 1.5 Gigabytes of memory.

Well, then I'll wait, the bad thing is that I'm afraid that when the new ones come out with 2gb the prices will be more than I can afford... so I would be in the same situation when it comes to gaming. I want to play in hd because when my previous monitor broke I found an hd one 23 inches for 90€ so I bought it and now I'm having problems with the graphics... besides, with the gt240 I have it's enough to cry...
Does anyone dare to estimate time? 1 month, 2?

you have the option to buy this: Sapphire Radeon HD 6950 2GB GDDR5 - 237 euros
well wait, it's not always the best option and lower in price, seen this of the crisis I don't think they will lower much more
it's up to you

In a month we should have the mid-range range but if you are in a hurry you can get the one that ferelxyx tells you about when they restock it.

Just as some store has sold the 5850 at almost a bargain price, it is likely that the same will happen with some current graphics card in a short time. The bad thing is that the 2 Gig models are expensive. But well, there are graphics cards like the 480 GTX that are still very good graphics today and some stores sell them at prices of 560 GTX TI when the 480 GTX is quite superior. It's all about knowing how to look for and find a good performance - price offer. That or go to the second-hand market.

Okay, thanks to everyone for your responses, I'll wait until next week to see how the market is doing again and if they have already restocked the components.
Best regards to everyone!
