In any place where a lot of people converge, you're going to find people with whom you clash, or who clash with you, and the best thing you can do is ignore them and stick with the good things that, as you rightly say, the forum has.

+1 In this forum we are all here to learn and, to the extent possible, some more than others, because I am not an IT expert either so I contribute and advise people with doubts or problems.

In the time I have been in the forum, on some occasions I have come across some out-of-place responses; or some that did not sit well with me. I do not consider myself a champion of good manners and some have made me angry, in an unjustified way, but I believe that above all this forum is full of good people, willing to help; and that is the reason why, after all these years, I keep coming back, because I feel comfortable, and I always learn new things, I try to help in what little I can; but above all there is always an atmosphere of harmony and good vibes. That is why, just like I check my email, or the website of a newspaper, I usually go into the forum, because I feel comfortable in it, and it is part of my daily routine, regardless of whether I participate more or less, but I love coming to the forum.

It bothers me because CNCBCN is a good guy despite having a bad temper and having pinned me a thousand times, I get along pretty well with him, I consider him part of this family as we all are and that this ends this way honestly hurts me a lot. You shouldn't take criticism so personally and get annoyed as you sometimes do, but apart from that I consider you a great guy who has contributed a lot to this forum.

I understand (on the part of the moderators) that there are attitudes that cannot be tolerated, and reactions that must be eradicated, but I sincerely believe that any misunderstanding that has occurred has not been intentional by any of the parties involved (I spoke about it with Bm4n recently and he knows that I always try to appease)
and more so when it comes to things between veterans, which are supposed to be debated in a proper way.

I'm not going to criticize attitudes or reactions, nor defend or scold, just express that what is happening is disgusting and very much so, these are the things that sour the good atmosphere of the forum.

I usually don't comment on these posts that seem more like a cry for attention of "ask me not to leave" than anything else (because if one gets offended they leave and that's it), but I think that for the poster in this case it deserves some attention and that you should reconsider it.

Everyone has to have a certain margin for criticism even if it may be offensive, especially in places like these forums where anonymity favors even excesses in forms. In the congratulatory post I already called you, along with Defaultuser, the Ristos Mejide of HL for how tough you are sometimes with opportunistic newbies and/or slackers who don't feel like searching on Google, but that makes that sometimes you pay with the same coin. Also these things give certain life to the forum without being a forocoches.

In what I read from Bm4n and Sylver they seem like intelligent, interesting and committed people to the forum. I also think you are and I think it would be a loss for the collective that we form hardlimit, but we have to assume the channel in which we communicate and what it entails.

You have changed for the better like others in this group (even myself) and sometimes we have to accept that they remind us of our past, but I doubt you will find another better community than this.

I am not going to deceive you and, just as you were proposed, like so many others, to be a veteran, now I have personally received some 'complaint' about some of your comments. That being said, I will tell you that despite having moved from the veteran group to the regular group, it was not done manually, there is a 'promotion' that changes the user from the veteran group to the regular group when they go below a certain level of reputation, just like there is another one that goes from the normal user group to the regular group when a certain number of posts is reached, and (although I have not looked at the reputation votes you have) I do not think that anyone has voted for you negatively just to mess with you. That being said, the decision to stay here is yours and yours alone, rest assured that if we wanted you to leave it would have been easier to ban you, but if I tell you that (at least as of today) we prefer (and here I include what I think is the vast majority of users on this forum) that there be good vibes, and it is true that some of your comments did not encourage those good vibes (I myself have edited/deleted some of your posts). Once the dust has settled ;-), I will tell you that if you want to leave, I am very sorry but it is your decision. Apart from what my colleagues have already said, I would like to add my own thoughts on the matter. Forums are sites that are built by their users, and for one reason or another, each forum has its own idiosyncrasies. There are forums where users seem to be in a bad mood all the time, there are forums where everyone is a know-it-all, and there are forums where the moderators themselves don't use the best manners... and among all this mess is Hardlimit, where the good vibes prevail, both from the users and from the admins/moderators. The most important thing about this is that, if one wants to participate in any of these forums, one has to adapt to the personality of each one. If you join a forum full of know-it-alls and act modest, they will eat you alive. If you act with good manners in a forum where insults are the order of the day, they won't even pay you any attention. If in others you humble yourself before the users, they will laugh at you... And if in HL you do something that goes against the community's way of doing things, you're going to have problems. In the same way that in other communities you can't do the opposite of what is pre-established, in this one you can't either, and what is pre-established here is the good vibes. That means that if you spoil the atmosphere gratuitously, you make inappropriate comments... If you have a behavior different from what is expected, the result won't be good. I don't remember ever having a big confrontation with anyone (or a small one) and I get along with everyone: with some more and with others less. And I don't remember having any friction with you, that's why I'm not saying any of this with the intention of offending or anything like that. The thing is that a few times, some of your comments have bothered me quite a bit and that's not even when they were directed at me. I can perfectly understand that whoever they were directed at would take them very badly for having a bad day and I understand (although I don't approve) that there have been confrontations precisely because of inappropriate behavior. As I said in the previous post, the decision to stay or leave is yours alone. I can tell you that I think it's in bad taste that message you seem to have received, whoever it is from (user 'raso', regular, veteran or moderator), but I think it's a decision you've made because of a hothead, it's like if I quit my job because a colleague said something offensive to me. On the other hand, the 'downgrade' was not for breaking the rules, I say that it's an automatic 'promotion' when you go below a certain level of reputation. Sometimes what's not liked is not what you're being told, but how you're being told.

Sometimes we forget that in a written medium it's quite complicated to catch the sarcasm, thanks and other things that in one's head sound very good but can lead to misunderstandings.
