Problem with router (xavi)
-
Hello everyone.
The thing is that I bought an online pack from a forum member of another site. And the thing that arrived was a package that included a "DECO" from Telefonica and a "ROUTER" (XAVI) from Telefonica as well.
The thing is that I want to connect it in another room since I have Imagenio and I already have a router for the other Movistar decoder that I have, and now that I have this that arrived I wanted to install it in the room so I can watch TV in that room. The issue is that the router turns on all the lights as it should, but it won't let me browse.
Could there be some kind of conflict with the other router? and that's why it won't let me browse?
I'm a bit lost and I just need the router to work so I can start watching TV in the room as God intended.
Thanks in advance and see if you can help me.

let me make sure I understand correctly.
You have an ADSL line at home, a router and an Imagenio set-top box, and you want to watch Imagenio in another room as well, is that correct?
If so, I can tell you right away that the new router won't be of any use to you because with a single ADSL line, only one router can be synchronized, you can't have 2 routers on the same line.
It's been many years since I had Imagenio and I'm not sure if it would be possible to have both decoders 'attacking' the same router, I suppose that if you have enough bandwidth, there shouldn't be too much of a problem, but you should have both connected by cable to the same router -
Speaking of memory, I think I remember that during installation, 4 IPs were reserved so that up to 4 Decos could be installed.
Best regards!

And I've made the decision to buy a standalone PLC, and connect it in the room where I want to have the other set-top box, and thus have both connected to the same router. Regards and thanks for the response.

Yes, there was a brief period when if you had a second deco, you could use it if you had Imagenio of at least 10 mbps, but they capped it in the profiles and it's not possible anymore.
Best regards.
