I'm not sure if they would mount the same chips (probably yes), but there are some Sniper 2x4GB a 1600 that work at Cas 9-9-9 with just 1.5V, so depending on how you want to leave the RAM ratio, you can probably lower both the voltage and the latency.
Your model according to the Gskill website works at 1.60V by default, the ones that go to 1.65V have Cas 9-11-10 (take that already xD)

You have to look for that data in the BIOS, if you can't find it, take some pictures of the bios and post them.

I would start by searching on google for your BIOS model and the options available, and then start tinkering to see what effect it has. Since current computers have thousands of security systems, anything can happen except for you to break it :fumeta:
