Well, the question I want to ask is about the power supply, because I have three in mind and I don't know which one to choose. First of all, I want a computer that is as quiet as possible, powerful and stable, so the power supply I put together, if possible, I would like it to not make noise, and that it regulates the fan speed according to consumption. The options I'm considering are these:

To say, that the heart of the computer will essentially consist of a Core i7 2600k, an Asus P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3 motherboard, an MSI GeForce GTX 570 Twin Frozr III PE/OC 1280MB GDDR5 graphics card, 16GB of Kingston HyperX Blue RAM at 1600, an SSD for the OS Crucial M4 128GB SATA3 and a data disk WD Caviar Black sata3 1.5T. With the possibility of adding another graphics card and more hard drives in the future.

The truth is that I really like the Tacens power supply, especially because of the good comments it has regarding noise and its price of less than 70€, but it makes me a bit hesitant the fact that it doesn't have the 80+ certification, although maybe it will be very stable. That's why I ask you.

Hello welcome, of those I stick with the TX but I don't know about noise as to how they will perform, if silence is very important you have fan sources but prepare your wallet.

Personally I always rule out the Tacens brand in any selection.

Among the Corsairs you put, I also vote for the TX, but going from 700W to at least 80 Silver.

Looking in the same store, I would recommend the Be Quiet Dark Power P9 Pro 850W

I really like the BeQuiet, but I have seen that the P9 pro 650W model gives a noise level of 13.9 to 16.5dbA, somewhat lower than that of the 850W, from 16.1 to 25.9.

Would it go well with the 650w as the equipment is? How much would the 650w really give me?

The 650W would be enough for the initial setup and for adding more devices, although if you add another graphics card it will probably not be enough, but its price is not reasonable. Do you accept €140 for a 650W and €155 for an 850W? Is that too much?

About the Tacens, many people in this forum have had them and they usually don't last very long, I wouldn't say they are low-end, but they are usually cheaper for a reason. And their other products, especially cooling, are also usually too cheap in terms of finishes, for the prices they have.

About the Corsair, the TX has Japanese capacitors and the Gaming series in the power supplies, they usually indicate models aimed at aesthetics, with some high-end details like detachable cables, but their interiors can be compared to the normal ones that cost €10-15 less.

Thank you very much for your advice Fassou. The truth is that I don't know if the noise peak of the 850w of almost 26dbA is much or not... I don't know "how much" that noise is.... that's why I didn't know if it was worth paying 140 for the 650w one, which stays at 16,5dbA. The real issue is that I can't imagine "how much noise" 16,5 and 26 dbA are. Maybe you can give me an example about that.

If I didn't do SLI, would the 650w be enough for several hard drives and another graphics card as a replacement, more powerful?

In the area of complete configurations I have left a thread with the complete assembly that I have in mind. You can take a look if you feel like it. The truth is that I am very green in these matters.

650 will not be enough if you have a K that "asks for OC" and will consume 200W instead of 150. Then a 570 consumes just under 250W and yours with OC will be just over 250. The 3 components will not be at 100% at the same time but if we add the rest of the components and give some margin to the power supply, I would look for at least 750W.

The Be Quiet looking for silence is very good but the Corsair AX 750 (same price as the P9 850) seems like a better power supply to me. It doesn't have a fan that's as good but it's also quiet and has a shutdown function.

If you don't have enough money, get the TX 750, some come out noisy but generally they are quiet. When you push SLI, it will probably make noise but then again, you will also have the rest of the fans at full blast and the sound of the game.

It is more efficient and the less loss the less heat. It has a 7-year warranty, turns off the fan under load, more reliable and stable… It is peeled but of course, you want silence and watts galore, and you can't have everything : giggles:

The AX that Obione recommends is a pretty nice high-end power supply, although on its website Corsair admits that it reaches ~37dB at full load. The TX, although it is already a good power supply, only reaches 80Bronze against the 80Gold of the other two. If you want to save some money, buy the TX, otherwise any power supply with a recognized brand's 80Gold seal, although cheap ones are not. Salu2! PD: The GTXs will not be quiet either when you give them some juice.

The thing is that the SilentWings fan that Be Quiet mounts is one of the best on the market at low RPM and it's not very noisy at high RPM either. If your priority is silence, get the Be Quiet.
