Packard Bell carbon external hard drive
-
hello, sorry for my clumsiness, but I bought a 2tb hard drive from packard bell model carbon, and I connected it to the tv and nothing comes up, could it be because of the tv, or the hard drive itself, I don't know what to do, thanks
-
first of all, welcome

i assume you mean a multimedia hard drive, right?
what video outputs does the drive have, which one are you using?
i assume that on the TV you change to the input where you have the drive plugged in, right?
of course the cause of not seeing it could be any of the options you mention

Hello and welcome
The hard drive won't be like this by chance, right? In your 2Tb version in your case:
Packard Bell Carbon 3.5" 1TB USB LC.EXH0P.030 External Hard DriveIf so… through what connection do you connect it to the TV?
Greetings

if it's like that, it's a normal external hard drive, not multimedia, right?
if so, the TV has to support the playback of the content and depending on the TV you can be normal that it only plays photos and music, and if it plays video, that it doesn't go beyond the divx of the moment -
Am I the only one who has read "disco duro cabron"? :risitas:

If you are Bm4n, that evil mind… :risitas:
Well, I doubt that hard drive is a good deal on certain TVs... it also depends on the format of the files it contains.
-
it may even be that the TV only reads the disk if it is in FAT32 and not formatted in NTFS
-
Hello, the million-dollar question is that you get nothing, you say, but… nothing at all, not even the disk, or the disk appears but is empty?

Okay, thanks guys, I thought I was going crazy
-
well, I plugged the hard drive into a USB port on my TV, but the thing is, I'm looking for the HDMI ports on my TV, (sony kdl...I bought it 2 years ago) and nothing comes up, probably because I'm very clumsy and don't know how to set it up, but they told me at Media Markt that the hard drive was multimedia, by the way, thanks for responding so quickly, what speed you guys have
-
I have already managed to do it, I don't know how, but now it turns out that I see it super small on the TV, I will continue to press the buttons
-
Nothing that is not a multimedia disc, so then you will have to go to the menu and USB, but what files does your TV support?
PD. Understanding that the disc is fine and is not multimedia… download the manual: http://www.sony.es/support/es/product/KDL-32S5600/manuals and read it in Spanish, in the example page 20. "menu" - "photos and music".

Of course, at Media Markt they are not stupid, they are 'too' smart.
Indeed, if you connect it via USB, it is a conventional external hard drive and it is the TV that has the media player, so you will have to look at the TV manual, as Bm4n says, to see what it plays and how it does it.
