Earthquake felt in Jaén
-
Well, a few minutes ago I felt a small earthquake in Jaén (and the neighbors also felt it). Since this is not a seismic zone, I assume the epicenter is quite far away and it must have been quite stronger (maybe in Granada or who knows where). Last year, apparently, a small tremor was also felt here when the Lorca earthquake happened.
Let's see what the USGS people say.

it wouldn't be a busted fan or a half loose hard drive :D:D:D
I hope it's nothing. -
What a scare
Here in Málaga capital we haven't felt anything, so it's likely that the epicenter was further up the map or towards Granada, Almería...I hope nothing has happened, regards

Indeed, the epicenter has been in Quesada (Jaén) and has been felt in the surroundings.

It seems that there have been no material or personal damages.

The scare I got was small…
In the end it doesn't seem to have been anything. Up to a magnitude of 5 it is not considered to be able to cause any kind of damage.

Well it seems that in the end you've had a few aftershocks

Best regards!

I didn't know there had been aftershocks. At first I felt a small tremor, but I didn't think much of it. Then after a few seconds the strong one came and that's when the furniture creaked and everything swayed, but that was after 3:30 pm.
