I have been thinking about buying this Asrock Z68 Pro3 Gen3 motherboard for an I7-2600K

      ASRock Z68 Pro3 Gen3 90-MXGJZ0-A0UAYZ Motherboard
It costs between 95-100 euros approximately depending on where you buy it.

Can anyone recommend something better for the same price?
I would appreciate it if you could indicate the improvement, whether in terms of features, performance, brand prestige or any other reason.

      Thanks to all

If it's by brand for tastes colors, if you want to compare thinking about the characteristics then it's a matter of using a little time to look at stores at those prices and look at the characteristics as we all do. And personally the most I can tell you is that for a processor of 280€ thought for OC spending only 100€ on the board might be a bit scarce, especially for a 4+2 power supply I would look for one with 8 phases or more.

PD. For example for 20€ more there is the Asrock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3 which would already be something more decent in terms of characteristics. And from that price you have more models to choose from, although perhaps that is a good model if you are looking for something economical for OC.

          I think the same

For a 280€ processor designed for OC, spending only 100€ on the motherboard might be a bit skimpy, especially for a 4+2 power supply. I would look for one with 8 phases or more.

The highlighted paragraph above sounds like Chinese to me, could you elaborate a bit on this explanation?
In simple terms, you'll see that I'm not very knowledgeable.
Thanks for your attention, best regards

I found this that more or less answers my question:
The power phases are responsible for supplying power to the CPU and RAM. When we say 8+2 or 16+2, it means that 8 phases (or 16 if it's 16) are for the CPU and the other 2 for the RAM. The more phases there are, the more stable the power supply and with more stability, you can achieve better OCs, or need less voltage to do a certain OC

Although in the same forum someone else thinks:
The most I've seen is 12+2 on the ASRock Fatal1ty 990FX, don't get obsessed with the number of phases, a Gigabyte UD7 or an Asus Crosshair V Formula will work just as well with 8+2.

I'm not going to overclock and if I ever did it would be at a very basic level.
            Thanks for your help

That would be a basic explanation, if you want to understand it better: http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/Everything-You-Need-to-Know-About-The-Motherboard-Voltage-Regulator-Circuit/616/1 On the last page at the end it summarizes, whether or not you do OC, the phases should be taken into account because they affect durability.

This is a forum dedicated to overclocking and other techniques to exploit hardware, I'm not exactly sure what you're looking for. If your question is whether that board will work, then yes it will work just like one that costs 45€. If you ask if it's the best purchase you can make with 100€, it depends like everything: For less than 100€ you have boards with better power supply, there are also others with more PCIE, others from more prestigious brands, etc. Like everything, there is variety, first you should know what you need, or what you are going to do with the PC, and then consider the purchase.
