Hello,
I've just arrived here and I already have questions

I've read several threads but I'm still not clear about the topic:
IPS Monitor for Gaming - HardLimit
Gaming Monitor - HardLimitThe thing is that I'm looking for monitors (mainly for gaming) and I basically want one with higher resolution (23 or so) and a TFT central, with The TFT Selector recommending the:
I've also been looking at this one (which is also IPS):
But I've been reading and it seems that IPS are not the most suitable for gaming, although some people say they have an IPS and play perfectly:
Monitors with IPS panels, suitable for gaming?
I've also seen that around the forum this one is recommended (which costs 200€):
BenQ RL2450HT-24-inch LED Monitor, Black: Amazon.es: Electronics
It's been a long time since I looked at monitors and I'm a bit lost when it comes to terminology, the one I have now is a TN (I think) and it doesn't give me bad performance but it's gotten small (in terms of resolution). The thing is to spend less than 200€ on a monitor that I can get good performance from and those two are within that range and the Dell is rated quite well.
Opinions? Suggestions?
Thanks.

At this hour I like short and concise answers so here we go:

Hello,
Thanks for the reply ;D
Do you recommend it for something special? I've been reading and the issue for gaming seems to be in the type of panel and response time.
Then I've read about terms like ghosting or similar but it's not very clear to me.
Best regards.

I also can't help you much with the panels because I'm not an expert, but the 2ms it has for response time (even being gray to gray) is more than enough.I have tried several Benq leds and I have not noticed gosthing. I don't know if with some benchmark you can notice it, but in conventional use and with games I have not noticed it.
To me it seems a good monitor and one of the best in quality/price.

Hello,
Thanks. I have already looked into the issue of ghosting (it turns out it's something you know exists but don't know the technical name for :P) and I really haven't noticed it with my current monitor so I guess it won't be an issue with the Benq either.
Well, I will probably end up getting the Benq. Now I just have to get paid xD
Best regards.

Hello again,
I have continued to look and it seems that the Benq, although it says it is for "gaming" is not worth as much as one of the IPS that I mentioned before since the quality of the current IPS panels is more than enough to give good performance in games and to be able to watch movies or series also in good quality.
And I who thought that I already had the monitor clear xD
We will continue to inform.
Greetings.

Read this post by Elsaq: IPS monitor for games. The ghosting is really noticeable, if you are not very demanding you can let it pass, but taking into account that the image quality of that BenQ is already quite good, I don't think it's worth getting an IPS for gaming (at least in this price range...).
Best regards

Hi,
I've read these posts:
[Review] Monitor BenQ RL2450HT - HardLimit
Monitor Gaming - HardLimitAnd it seems not so bad, the thing is that I would like to consider all the possibilities (that's why I commented on the IPS issue), I don't usually change monitors every now and then and I want to buy something that I won't regret later.
Thanks

Hello,
In the end I took a risk and bought an IPS with EVERYTHING xD (so I already have what I need for the future). It came out a little more expensive than initially budgeted, but well, let's hope it's worth it:
Asus PA238Q 23" LED IPS 90LME4150T00081C- Monitor
If everything goes well, it will arrive today. I will make a mini review of my impressions

Best regards!

Congratulations on the purchase and good luck with that Asus

-
Yeah, I've already read that it seems to be a lottery with the panel that Asus mounts on this model, especially with the bleeding issue xD
We'll see and note that I took into account your responses but after looking and looking I decided on an IPS, even though the Benq was tempting me.
I'll keep you posted
