Hello everyone!!
After the disaster with the first and only ssd I had, a Gskill of 128GB that died with 2 years and 2 months, now that I see that they have dropped a little bit I think I will make another attempt and get another one, when one gets used to the good everything else becomes very slow… :wall:
My 2 candidates are these: (Read / Write) MB/s
Corsair Force 3 Sata3 120 GB (550 / 510)
Force Seriesâ„¢ 3 120GB SATA 3 6Gb/s Solid-State Hard Drive - Force Series 3 - SSD
Corsair Force Series 3 F120 SSD 120GB SATA3 CSSD-F120GB3-BK Disco Duro SSDCrucial M4 Sata 3 128 GB (500 / 175)
http://www.crucial.com/store/partspecs.aspx?IMODULE=CT128M4SSD2
Crucial M4 128GB SATA3 CT128M4SSD2 Disco Duro SSDAdvantages, the Corsair a priori seems much faster, especially in writing, on the other hand, it carries SandForce controller, which are said to give many problems, although I treat Corsair as a great brand, especially in warranties, and for that reason I think I can trust them.
The crucial, despite being slower, everyone recommends it as a safe bet in stability / reliability, and after my last trauma, so that also pulls me.
Well, that is the doubt, both are about 135€, now I will investigate other websites to see if I find them cheaper.
Which one would you choose? Would you look at another option?
Best regards and thanks ;D

I can't help you objectively. I can only tell you that I was in the same dilemma as you and in the end I was more drawn to the stability that Crucial is supposed to have and it seems that the latest versions have improved performance... I hope it works out because I got three...

I've been tempted by the M4 128 since I saw it at 150€ :ugly:
If you're not in a hurry, you could wait for the new Marvell controller and let them run a few cycles.

Yeah, but you know how it is with computers, between the time it comes out, they test it thoroughly and all that, another year passes, and then they announce another one that's even better...
I'm so annoyed that on amazon.com it's at 149$!!! Which in euros is about 114€, but between the shipping costs and other stuff, it ends up being the same price as in Spain... what a shame!
Best regards

My forecast: they arrive this year at a competitive price :ugly:
Another model that may interest you is the Plextor, more expensive but with more warranty.
-
Well, in the end, stretching a little more, I ended up with the Samsung 830 128GB, which was at a very good price at coolmod, at 153€, I'll let you know when it arrives, but according to what I've read, it's a very good ssd, especially for the software that comes with it!
Greetings, mates

The Magician doesn't seem decisive to me, a little more reading is good, but if we add the 3.5 adapter and we don't have a 2.5 bay in the case, we can argue about the extra cost. Good buy

I intended to get the M4 and strap it with the cables behind the 3.5 bays vertically but I think if I haven't got it already, I'll wait for the new controllers.

New Intel models are coming out soon with 500MB/s and over 150€… I will think about it when they come out.

At PcComponentes the Crucial M4 128GB has just been reduced to 124 euros, http://www.pccomponentes.com/crucial_m4_128gb_ssd_sata3.html.
Best regards.

I said a while ago that I wouldn't buy an SSD until it was less than a euro per gigabyte, it seems that the day when I buy an SSD is getting closer.
-
I think I will end up removing the vertex and buying 2 corsairs, I think they came out with new ones in the summer, I will wait until then. P.D. @obione, I think the support is not that great, I have it "lying around" in the 5.25 bays XD, I'm not going to be moving the tower around so it's not that important. -

Me with double-sided tape <:(, http://foro.hardlimit.com/cajas-y-dispositivos-de-alimentacion/t-colocar-ssd-en-antec-p150-62911.html
What a pain Rules. Well, add the €8 shipping costs and it's not as much (the one who doesn't console himself...).
Best regards.

Well, it has already arrived, and I am doing a clean installation from scratch and what can I say... incredible, it flies!! And the box, presentation, materials and such, perfect, a 10 for Samsung, they just need to lower it by about 15-20€ and it would be a total sales!!
