Split a WMA video into smaller parts?
-
Hello,
I have a 1 gigabyte wma video and I need to split it in half and cut it into two roughly equal fragments.
Do you know of any free program that allows me to do this easily? or at least one with a trial version that lets me work with such large files?
I have no idea about video editing and which one to choose
Thanks!

I guess the fastest is Windows Movie Maker, right? Have you tried it?
-
No, I have no idea about the software that exists out there
is the one you recommend free?

For WMA, the best option is Windows Movie Maker :sisi:
It comes with XP. If you use another one, a Virtual one and you're done :troll:

OK thanks to both of you. I use win7 but I've seen that it can be installed without any problems. This afternoon I'll try it to see how it goes

Apart from those that have said it, I'm currently using the Free Video Dub It's supposed to work with multiple formats, one of them being.wma, but so far I've only used it with.flv and.mp4 formats (this even with resolutions of 1080). It's easy to use and at least with the 2 formats I told you, it works great. When you install it, take a good look at the installer, I think it installs those annoying toolbars for browsers, so you'll have to disable the option to install them. Regards. -
I use this program (aTube Catcher) for free to convert videos, join them and it is useful to cut them
and capture videos from almost all sites, try it and tell meCatch all of your favorite videos! | aTube Catcher Official Web Site

Haha. I'm new here and looking at the posts on the first page I didn't pay attention to the dates, :wall: otherwise I would have assumed the issue was resolved ;D
I'm taking advantage of the post to say that aTube Catcher is really great (at least for the type of videos I use).
Regards.
