€1500 PC in parts, iMac or PC assembled by me???

First and foremost, I would like to thank everyone for taking the time to read this post, especially those who respond.
I have a big doubt that I can't solve on my own, I can't make up my mind and my lack of knowledge about hardware makes my indecision even greater. Let me explain…
I have about 1,500€, well, that's my intention, plus or minus, and I don't know how to invest it. I'm going to retire my PC, it's quite old and it's giving me problems. I'm looking for an all-terrain computer, I mean, for browsing, downloading (leaving it on all night), watching movies, working (I'm a programmer), etc. In short, for everything. I thought and was decided on a 21.5'' iMac with iCore5 at 2.7GHz (1,495€ if I'm not mistaken). But after reading that it's only for work and it falls short for the rest... I've considered other possibilities. So I went to appinformatica.com and got a quote, since I have no idea about hardware, I put almost everything the most expensive, but of course, the price went higher than the iMac... then I thought about ordering the parts online (but I don't know which sites) and assembling it myself, I guess I would know, to save costs and have a good team after seeing what appinformatica has.
Well, my questions to see if someone can help me decide...
1.- For what I want, an all-terrain computer that will last for years, iMac or PC?
2.- Could someone indicate me parts (processor, motherboard, graphics card, power supply, fans, ram, disk, case, etc...) with medium or high quality? I know it's expensive, but it would be if someone could tell me the components for a budget with the 1,500€ or 1,700€ with a multifunction printer.
3.- Should I assemble it myself or buy it in a store?
4.- Any website that sells and ships the parts / components to my home?
I apologize to anyone who may be bothered by my post, for whatever reason, indecision and ignorance are very bad.

I advise you to have it assembled in the store and test it, they usually don't charge much and you avoid having a defective part and carrying it from one side to another.
Once it arrives at your house and you try it out, check how it's assembled if the cables are where you want them, etc...
As for parts, I'm a bit outdated, as I only use it for work, I still use a computer that's not even dual-core (for gaming, I use video consoles). -

I would only get a Mac to use specific software like Logic for audio. If you don't need any of that, I would get a PC.
What requirements do you have for programming? In terms of performance, utilization of virtual cores, if it uses a lot of disk... If you don't know, you could look into how programs use it. Apart from programming, for what you want with a dual of 100 euros and its integrated graphics, you'll go miles.
Personally, I would get it online and build it, but that depends on whether you're capable, in any case, at pccomponentes they charge 45€ for assembly and shipping, and you could save some money compared to an APP, it's all about doing the math.

I'm not exactly handy, I think I could, although it would take me time, but if something went wrong... there Kelven you got me... uuummm I don't know, it has reduced my options to assemble it myself.PC assembled: Get a machine at pc components, as you say Obione... but what components, I don't know which ones are good and which are superior, I go by price and not always the price is a sign of the best. Any hardware recommendations for monitor, motherboard, processor, etc.?
iMac: I had thought about getting it and assembling a virtual machine for downloads and games. And programming in Visual studio.NET and some other programming language, and also installing photoshop, which I sometimes do things with.

hello, if any part turns out to be defective, the only problem is that you have to send it back to the store and they will replace it after verifying that it is so. about the components to rule out AMD (intel is more expensive but performs better) unless you want something cheaper. an i5 2500 motherboard to choose from, for gaming a gtx560 memory of at least 4 gigas and two hard drives a pair of WD one black for the S.O and one Green for data and copies

An iMac is good for everything except for 3D games because they have graphics like those of laptops. Of all, I wouldn't buy it to use with Windows, there are good programming environments on Mac but not.Net which is precisely from Microsoft.
If you want something like the iMac, there are similar things in HP, Dell and several brands.

I'm not usually a big fan of iMacs, but I'll get straight to the point: I think the PC components budget is missing the graphics card and I think 1000w power supply is a bit exaggerated. Then, the Obione budget seems very good to me... I can't recommend anything because I'm using my mobile phone and it's difficult for me to write so much. I'll try to give you a custom budget as soon as I get home. -
There are people who use a Mac with Windows instead of OSX or who virtualize it as you say, it is possible of course, but if the iMac is no longer cheap then you add the license for Parallels and Windows and that is 300€ more. The iMac, if you buy it, should be because you are interested in OSX or a computer that takes up very little space and has a very good finish, otherwise my recommendation, not having any idea about hardware, is that you go to a manufacturer like Dell, HP, Lenovo, etc. and look for a computer with similar characteristics with an i5 and 8GB of RAM etc. An XPS from Dell for example can cost you around 1000€ being more powerful than an iMac and obviously expandable.
