I put screenshots;
Look, this is how I was seen:

and now I look like this through the device manager (updating the driver software, it tells me that nothing, that everything is fine and up to date:

And I have been for many months, and I can not use this device, which will not be worth much in the market, but it is super comfortable, and good like everything that has the Creative brand. I used it on other S.O and without problems, but in this one of Windows 7 it is impossible, and it is that I do not have XP anymore for thousands of years, hehe
Thanks for the help, let's see if we find the key, they told me that maybe it is something about drivers to look for: ERROR IN MTP DEVICE
-
That shows that the driver is not correct, probably not compatible with W7 and that is the problem, look well maybe there is an unofficial one that works.
-
They say that with the updated firmware it no longer works as MTP, but as mass storage, with all the pros and cons that it has, and the pro is that it will work on any operating system without the need for drivers (it will be a pendrive that plays music).
Come on, try it, because if not you will only be left to use it as a geek paperweight, because if there are no drivers you can't do anything else.

and how do I set the device as mass storage? I want to use it as a pendrive, to cut and paste albums and that's it. I don't understand what needs to be done to fix it, thanks

Updating the firmware from a computer with Windows XP, the firmware is on one of the links I provided earlier. Just running it will work, but only on a computer with XP. Once updated, you can already use it on Windows 7 without drivers or anything.
-
Ok, well thank you very much. I'll go to a friend's house who has XP and I'll update it and when I get back I'll put it back via Windows 7.
And the other little problem I've had for a while is installing the latest version of ITUNES which I can't do, see if you could help me
Error installing ITUNES 10.61 - HardLimit
Thanks a lot, buddy -
De nada
Lo del iTunes ya si que se me escapa, nunca he sido usuario de productos de Apple ni he comprado musica con ellos y como reproductor en el PC siempre me ha resultado muy pesado

I have a Creative ZEN Touch and the only way to access it is through NOMAD Explorer from Creative itself, try to see if it works
-
Those asinine practices of brands locking devices so that they can only be accessed with their applications drives me up a wall…

http://support.creative.com/downloads/welcome.aspx?nLanguageLocale=1034&nDriverType=4#type_4 I think you're going to need large doses of garlic and water, the firmware says the same thing as mine if you take it out of Windows XP + Windows Media Player 10 doesn't work, do like me forget about mp3 and use the mobile phone that now it must be a very old model to not have an mp3 player.
-
I had that mp3 many years ago and I ended up retiring it, it only gave me problems, I couldn't stop installing a driver or another, I even had emails with people from creative technical service. It was a big disappointment.

and what solution did they give you? I really love it and it's a shame that I can't use it with windows 7, I really don't understand it. It's a shame that the people at CREATIVE don't offer a solution, it's their obligation and we as customers have to demand it
DRIVERS NOW! -
I remember downloading the drivers from the website, there were several, I couldn't use the most modern ones, but I downloaded some older ones and it worked, but Windows XP didn't always recognize it. It was random, it drove me crazy and the technical service didn't give me a solution, just to leave it as factory, clean with the drivers and reinstall everything.
To make matters worse, sometimes it didn't load via USB, but it did with the network adapter. So I bought another battery because at least my battery lasted about 6-7 hours I think.
I'm sorry but it gave me so many headaches and one day I had enough and I ripped it apart because the memory it has is a Compact Flash card, and then it turned out that my Canon Reflex that uses these cards didn't recognize it. :wall:
This MP3 When it came out it was bought by photographers, because sometimes it was profitable to rip it apart to use the card in the camera, a friend did it for some Nikon Reflexes.
I'm sorry but in my case it served me to never buy anything from that brand again, it disappointed me a lot. When it worked it was a very good mp3, and the radio sounded great, but since it worked randomly I killed it :ugly:
