it doesn't make much sense right now. even if they release directx 12, if there isn't a new generation of consoles, they won't bother to use it in games. -
well I read somewhere that the next-gen will use dx 11
it's that I had in mind to renew the gpu when dx12 comes out... I think by then it will have some hair...

to be honest, I've been googling a bit more and I've discovered a few things (with a total lack of rigor in some of what I say... I warn you in advance)Nowadays almost all games run on dx9 (I think my graphics card will last longer than I thought...) since my TV has a native resolution of 1380x786 or something like that... so there aren't many games that push the GPU much in case of playing with those resolutions...
and there are several drawbacks... the first one is that this generation of consoles hold back current games... the second one (and this one is also with very little informative rigor) is that the next gen will come with dx11. The third one is that there are still many people with Windows XP even though they have a lot of money. So bad news for AMD (ATI) and NVIDIA... with this series of news we can be grateful that they start releasing games with dx10.
