Hello guys! I've been having some issues with the raid on one of the hard drives for a while now… Until yesterday when the raid finally died for good, it doesn't recognize one of the drives and says "non raid disk" and I can't start the OS. Before, turning it off and on many times would fix it but now I can't even do that. I've been really busy since this first happened last week with deliveries to make a backup and I need to recover the data from the drives at all costs. The computer is an MSI GT780R, 2 WD scorpio black hard drives of 500GB in RAID 0 and the software is Intel Rapid Storage Utility.
I've found a few things on some forums but I'm asking for your advice since I don't want to try anything that could erase the data.
Here's one:
HowTo : Recover Intel RAID "Non-Member Disk" Error..And this one from Taringa has screenshots and everything of exactly what's happening to me:
403 - ForbiddenThe thing is, I didn't understand the Taringa one very well either, even though it's exactly the same problem. Do you think I'll be able to recover all the data??
THANKS! -
But what is the problem? Has a disk failed or is it the fault of the controller? Because the second one has an easy solution: mount it on another board with an Intel controller.

In the end the solution was as easy as undoing the raid and recreating it with the same configuration (since this only deletes the RAID metadata). Then boot Windows from a live disk and use testdisk to rewrite the partitions. Reboot and from the live disk you can extract all the data!
BEST REGARDS!

Check the status of the disks anyway.

Well, having important data on a RAID-0 is crazy, because in addition to the failure of one of the disks, you also have the failure of the controllers, which, not being "professional", are not very reliable (there's a reason why server controllers cost 10 times more).
Check the contents of the disks and save it because if the disk fails instead of the controller... bye bye data.
