Hi, I always come here before building something, and you always give me good advice.
Currently I have these 2x2gb memories

Kingston ValueRAM KVR1333D3N9/2G PC3-1333, I have some left over because I changed the memories on my gaming PC in December.
and I also think I have an old 120 gb sata hard drive that I can disassemble, I had it as an external USB and I don't use it.
I wanted to build my father a cheap HTPC rigged up in the living room so he can watch internet broadcasts and connect in the living room.

I've seen this configuration that I think is ideal for price and consumption.

      AMD AD3500OJGXBOX - Processor: Amazon.es: Electronics Amd a6 3500

      Asrock A75M-ITX, 16 GB, 800, 1066, 1333, 1600, 1866, 2400 MHz, DDR3-SDRAM, dual, Intel, Socket FM1: Amazon.es: Electronics Asrock A75M-ITX

My main doubt is which case to choose, I've seen two, on the HTPC page where I found this configuration they recommend this
Antec ISK 310-150 Mini ITX Antec ISK 310-150 Mini ITX - Computer case with power supply (150 W), black: Amazon.es: Electronics

but the fact that they are only 150 W of power makes me doubt, isn't it too short?

I also found this on AmazonThermaltake Element Q Midi Tower ITX Thermaltake Element Q Midi Tower ITX: Amazon.es: Electronics of 200 W

Which of the two would you choose? Would there be any better option for a case and power supply apart?

Thanks, I hope you can enlighten me as always.

I suppose you have already looked at it, even though it is larger I think it is better, because you have more possibilities for expansion. And the compact F.A. :frio:

Don't worry about the power, that equipment will never reach 100w no matter how much you squeeze it. What you do have to be careful about is the size of the heatsink and what drives it accepts, since for example the Antec only supports 2.5" hard drives (from laptops), which I don't know if that's your case.

Another thing to keep in mind is the noise we are willing to endure, since in those boxes we will have to put the stock coolers or one of very low profile. I don't know what size the AMD coolers will have, but it would be a matter of searching the internet for someone who has assembled those boxes with similar configurations.

Small boxes are what they are, it's convenient to study everything a lot, which can be a pain, but personally I love them ;).

The new APUs from AMD have already been presented and soon new boards will be released (Computex 2012 - HardLimit) so it wouldn't be a bad idea to wait ?

Good, I already have the HTPC assembled in the antec 300-150 case. The only thing I haven't been able to mount is a DVD drive. I had these two drives at home, taken from laptop carcasses, but they are mini IDE and the motherboard is only SATA.

If you could tell me where to find a mini IDE to SATA adapter cable. I looked on dealextreme but I couldn't figure it out. You could also recommend a compatible DVD or Blu-ray drive in case I want to avoid any hassle in the end.

Thanks, I look forward to your wise responses

For 22€, I'm not sure if it's worth adapting one of these:

                http://www.pccomponentes.com/samsung_sn_208bb_grabadora_dvd_slim_interna_sata.html

The bad thing is that these drives usually use miniSATA, so an adapter is also needed.

That said, you could put one of the IDE ones in. Some of the smaller Dell computers used IDE optical drives with a SATA adapter.

Well yes, for that little money it's worth it to buy a new recorder, and the model that says Yorus seems to be SATA so you avoid using adapters.
