The new generation of Ultrabook systems based on Intel Core Ivy Bridge processors is now available, with a wide variety of models that stand out for their touch screens and convertible models.

Intel announces that it is now possible to purchase Ultrabook laptops with the third generation of Intel Core processors, which brings a whole series of advantages such as greater responsiveness and more powerful security features. Characteristics encompassed under a wide variety of designs and models that will appear from now until the end of the year, with more than 30 models with touch screens, while at least another 10 models will present a format that we call convertible.

The total number of designs that will be possible to find on sale will exceed the figure of 115. The models that are already on sale from this month of June will be based on Intel Core i5 and Core i7 processors, while the entry-level models based on Core i3 processors will appear later.
During the presentation we were able to see the Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga model, which was shown during the celebration of CES. It comes loaded with a beta version of Windows 8, so it will presumably not be a definitive product until the presentation of said operating system.
The equipment has the particularity that we can use the equipment in laptop mode, or, open its screen at an angle of 360 degrees to use it in Tablet mode.

Personally, I like this new twist that manufacturers are giving, by merging two devices into one. This approach to the fusion between tablet and laptop (call it Ultrabook, if you want) was already successfully done by Asus, in its Transformer range.
Undoubtedly, in the purest style of the lord of the rings, it will be Windows 8, who in the future, will unite the two platforms and take this concept further, helped (hopefully) by ARM processors.

      Best regards

The concept already existed with Android devices. It would be quite good if sooner or later the little Atom brothers with low cost appeared because I think that these devices are not going to go much below €1000.
