Different features in i7-3770 and i7-3770K
-
Hello everyone. Looking at the differences between the normal 3770, and the 3770K that comes prepared for OC and with a base speed of 3.5 instead of 3.4 like the 3770, I see in the comparative page of Intel that there are a number of options that the "K" version does not have available in relation to the normal version:
Do you know what those options are that the "K" version does not include?
Would the "K" version be worth the 20€ more for working on graphic design?Regards.
-
If you are going to increase the speed, yes, otherwise no.
-
OK, but I would like to know what those options are that the 3770K version does not include, while the 3770 does.
Best regards.

Two of them are instructions to improve security, verifying the identity of the team, and the third is to optimize the functioning of virtual environments.
All of them are of little application, except in very, very advanced environments, although they are part of the future <:(

When you talk about improving security, do you mean security of access to the team against possible attempts of "Hacking"?
Regarding the "virtual environments"… could you give an example to know what that is? Would working with Virtual Box/WMWare be included, or is that something else?
Thanks Fassou. Regards.

Certainly I had used google and read those links,… but it was like Chinese to me. That's why I was looking for a simpler explanation, well, for computer geeks like me.
In any case, thanks.

You should have created a single thread with full teams.
-
For me the main difference is that the 'K' has the multiplier unlocked and the 'no-K' does not. So for overclocking there is no point of comparison.

You should have created a single thread for full builds.
True, mea culpa, as I was unaware that there was a specific subforum for full builds. I thought that a thread should be followed for each topic.
For the next PC I will do that.
Thanks again. Regards.
