Dual-Core E2160 1.8GHz or Pentium D 925 3.00GHz???
-
I have seen these two: (if there is much difference in performance I will stretch and take the dual-core but if not the other one that goes over my budget if not)Intel Pentium Dual-Core E2160 1.8GHz/1M/800 LGA775 - 20 euros
INTEL Pentium D 925 3.00GHz 4M/800MHz/05A SL9KA - 14 euros

Intel Pentium Dual-Core E2160 1.8GHz/1M/800 LGA775 - 20 euros
Go for that one directly.
Best regards

The 6€ you spend extra on the E2160 will be saved on electricity, as the Dual Core, besides being more powerful, consumes much less. Moreover, you can always overclock it quite a bit and improve its performance even more.

The E2160 is much better. It can also be overclocked quite a bit. I have an E2180 that went to 2 GHz and I had it overclocked to 3 GHz

+1 for the E2160.
I had an E2180 and it overclocked quite well, plus it performed much better than a Pentium D. I wouldn't even think about it, honestly, just realize that it was really a Conroe core capped in Cache (and maybe something else, I don't remember).
The other one, to put it a certain way, are two Pentium IVs joined …
Saludos!!
