Hello everyone and thank you for your time. I have a DCM-G202 Router from ONO and I want to put it on a network with another router.
The DCM-G202 Router from ONO only has one rj-45 and I have set it to address 192.168.0.1
I have set the other router to address 192.168.0.2 and since it has several rj-45s, I have set the rest of the values.
      Is it correct?
If so, why can't I ping between 192.168.0.1 and 192.168.0.2

      Thank you for reading me.

If you intend to use the same subnet for communication between routers, and for your equipment, it will be a mess and will not work :nono:

Configure the DHCP of your "internal" router, for one network (for example 192.168.1.0), and the DHCP of the ONO router for another different range (for example 192.168.8.0), and it should work.

        Salu2!

First of all, thank you very much for your reply. There are many of us who ask questions and few who answer them.
Indeed, what you say is true, it's a mess as I say. But if they are not from the same network, where should I control the ports, on the ONO one or the internal one?

The simplest solution is to put a switch connected to the ONO router :sisi:, but if it has to be with another router, the idea is to have a network in which only the internal connector of the ONO router and the external or WAN side of the second router are, with all the ports of the ONO router pointing to the "exterior" or WAN IP of the second router.

Then, you configure the second router as if the ONO one did not exist (DHCP, NAT, etc …), with the only exception of not using the same network that you configured in the previous step, or it will fail again.

            Salu2!

PD: If you need step-by-step explanations, there are other forums more specific to users of ONO and other cable companies.

If it's to learn as Fassou says, but I would opt for a switch that costs 10-20€ more than enough for the task and doesn't cause as much trouble, now if you want to tinker, everyone will know.

Thanks for the help. I'll try to configure the router and if I can't do it, I'll go for the switch. Thank you very much.

Hello, just to say thank you. It works wonderfully for me. And not like before when it went terribly. In the end, because I didn't change the devices that I already have stuck to the wall. I put the ONO router - my indoor router. It works great.
                  Thanks again.
