      @amd125:

For what it's worth, I prefer the Ati 7850 over the Nvidia 560 GTX. It's more powerful, has a good overclocking margin, 2 Gigabytes which is good for playing in Full HD, and in general, it has good consumption in addition to being more modern.

I think that Nvidia is a bit overpriced today; and if you still want the Nvidia... then you will buy something inferior to what Ati has in the market for that price range. Is it a bad graphics card for that reason? Not at all, but it is a bit expensive.

      A picture is worth a thousand words... AnandTech - Bench - GPU12

        +2 here too.
ATI has better price and performance lately than its equivalent models from nVidia.

I am back on track and I couldn't help but read, but anyway, the prices they have or at least they had yesterday for the 7800 are more than tempting. Not even a full bottle of wine would make me get an Nvidia having a 7850 for less than 200 euros and a 7870 for a little more at pcc (although the 7870 is sold out).

First of all, thank you for your responses.

To be honest, I'm intrigued by trying an ATI this time, I say this because I've always been pro-nvidia but lately it's been calling to me.

So if I decide to go the ATI route, with a budget of around 200 euros for a graphics card, I'll go for the 7xxx series without a doubt, right? The last two you mentioned, Obione, are probably high-end.

Yes, better to go that route, although be careful with some 7xxx, they are not what they seem :ugly:
If your budget is 200€, go for the 7850. If you decide to stretch a little more, then go for the 7870.

              Regards

Try to buy one with a good cooling system, read some reviews and for around 200€ it's one of the best you can buy. Nvidia either goes over that price or doesn't reach it. The 660 GTX is a very good graphics card but very expensive today.

Well, having decided on the 7850, I have another question, that in pcc for example there are these 3, the one with 199 I suppose will be more beastly because of the OC and stuff:

                  Sapphire Radeon HD 7850 Dual-X 1GB GDDR5 11200-16-20G Graphics Card

                  Sapphire Radeon HD 7850 Dual-X 2GB GDDR5 11200-07-20G Graphics Card

Sapphire Radeon HD 7850 OC 2GB GDDR5 11200-14-20G Graphics Card

and another question is the assembler, MSI, sapphire, XFX?

Well in the end I stretched and got the 7870

Sapphire Radeon HD 7870 GHz OC Edition 2GB GDDR5 11199-03-20G Graphics Card

Now we'll see how it goes.
Thank you very much for your trouble guys.

I think you've bought a good graphics card, it won't let you down.

If you want to compare it with other graphics cards: http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/647?vs=548

Anyway, keep in mind that yours, being the OC, will pull something more than the generic one. You could have also gotten that OC out of the generic one and saved a few euros, but well, it's a good graphics card.

If you can afford it, but I prefer the 7850 now that the difference has increased by 20 bucks. Recently it was at 185 and the 7870 at 220 and you can do the OC via soft, even more aggressive.

Ferelxyx mentioned that the 175€ one is the 1GB one, FAIL on my part :ffu:

I was already surprised that it had gone down after the VAT increase. Without a doubt, the best time to buy was at the end of August with the 7850 2GB at 185€ or maybe the 7870 at 219.
