-

Interesting, I never tried it, but for that price, I'll buy it to play it later.
hello.
I can assure you that it's a great game, and since I know you like it, can you kill NAZIS! ;D -
I have it unfinished, I'm stuck in the library with that monster, to be honest, I'm not really hooked. The plot has potential and the graphics department too, but it's just another FPS, because it doesn't stand out in anything apart from the tremendous consumption of GPU and graphic memory.

Ssshh don't spoil Bm4n XD I haven't played it

you're being exaggerated dude, I played it with a 280 gtx and everything was fine ;D when you say in the library, are you referring to the librarians? those weird creatures? if so, send me a PM and I'll tell you which way you have to go ;D

I bought it at that price back in the day, great game I didn't think I would like it so much.

Well, my conclusion, after 12 hours exploring the metro tunnels, is quite clear and emphatic: a great game.
I got it for Christmas in 2011, in a Steam sale. To be honest, I was eager to play it, but between putting it off for other things, I didn't get around to it until this month.
I loved its storyline, its fairly long duration (other games have a lot to learn in this regard) and that it never gets tiring or boring, its excellent atmosphere and its "Soviet" touch, which reminds me so much of Cryostasis or Stalker SC, and I think it's a real art to create a game like this.
Plus, it's good to occasionally enjoy a game that isn't an American thing... like CoD or MoH, and I like those, but they get tiring after a while. It's surprising to be able to be "on the other side" once in a while. Yes, I mean that it seems like the poor Russians are always the worst of the worst, and of course this is an added plus besides the good atmosphere.
And mind you, we're also saturated with post-apocalyptic stories, but even so, it doesn't get tiring at all.I love the system of being able to buy military-type ammunition and having to count the bullets, because you know you have to if you don't want to run out.
Or seeing that you have enough filters to not die when you go through areas where you need the gas mask, and that it gets broken in combat and you have to change it.
Visiting station by station, facing the Nosalis, but also the fascists, so you're not just dealing with the creatures of the metro, but you have to fight bandits or radical military units.Another thing I love is how quickly the game loads and if you get killed you're back in combat in seconds. There are games that take ages to load a level, and if you get killed it's frustrating to continue.
So I think this part is very well optimized. As a downside, you need pretty powerful equipment to enjoy all its visual enhancements, but I can say that after playing it almost entirely on an i7 + GTX670 and part on an E6700 + GTX460, although you can see the difference, I was able to enjoy the gaming experience on both computers.
Although it's true that I had to adjust the resolution a lot and put it on DX 10 on the less powerful computer, but I didn't dislike the levels I played on that computer.
Anyway, visually you do lose something, but since I used Physx on both, I didn't notice too much visual difference (this is very personal), not much visual difference.
Obviously if I played the whole thing on one computer and the same on another and I pay special attention to observe everything and take screenshots, I'll see something, but in this case I didn't notice anything.Well, I won't go on any longer, recommended for anyone who hasn't played it, especially lovers of games like Stalker, Cryostasis, even Half Life!! HL
Best regards!!
