HP W19 Wide LCD Monitor on NVIDIA GeForce 7500 LE
-
Good afternoon, for a few days now, the 1440 by 900 resolution has stopped working (it sends the screen to the right, leaving the left side black). I have tried to fix it without success by pressing the buttons on the HP W19 Wide LCD monitor and the control panel on the NVIDIA GeForce 7500 LE card. In the end, I had to lower the resolution to 1430 by 768 to see the full screen. What can I do to fix it?
Thank you

Hello and welcome.
I would look at some online manual for your monitor, because that happened to me with a 42" LG TV, the image stayed on one side and looked cut off. I changed the settings from the remote and adjusted the image optimizing it for the resolution that was set (I think it was 1360x768)
If you can't get it with the monitor's own settings, update the graphics drivers to see...Regards

Thanks Silver, I have updated the graphics card drivers and it's still the same. In the end I have lowered the resolution to 1430 by 768 to see the full screen. Less resolution but at least I see it complete.

From what I see the optimal resolution of your monitor is 1440x900 and if it worked before …
Check that the cables are properly plugged in and try booting with a LiveCD to see if it lets you configure to the native. In the NVIDIA panel, look to see what parameters you can change and try. You shouldn't have problems with the refresh rate but make sure it's 60Hz and that it doesn't force any horizontal refresh or anything like that.
You can try installing drivers specific to your monitor. If there are none for Win7, try the ones for Vista.
