How is this done with BAT batch files?

Quiero borrar todo lo que haya dentro de una carpeta, ya sea archivos o subcarpetas:
DEL /F /Q RUTA*.* –> borra los archivos, las subcarpetas quedan vacías pero no se borran
RMDIR /S /Q RUTA --> borra todo incluido la carpeta raíz.
Pero lo que yo quiero es mantener la carpeta raíz. Como se hace??

sino, luego pones otro comando de crear la carpeta raiz….
