The truth is that Descargue gave me the best option, since the rest already had expired accounts. On the laptop, since I use XP, it works perfectly after passing the antivirus and the mentioned change. But on the PC, it is clear that as soon as I have a stable connection and enable all network services, I will buy a suite and following Techno, Karspersky will be the option. For now, the PC does not have access to the internet and what is installed has been verified after installation.

I use Microsoft Security Essentials, which is free and works very well
and it's the one I install on everyone and it works as well as the paid ones, neither better nor worse

All antivirus programs are sufficient for 95% of the threats you may encounter. The remaining 5% is what differentiates one from another. It is also true that if the use is conventional (you do not download strange things or from strange sites) the difference is minimal.

I have also been using Kaspersky for years and I believe it is the best option, but on computers with less tinkering (laptop, second PC) I also have free solutions (in my case Avast).
