Hello, I have a doubt between 2 graphics cards that I want to buy and I honestly don't know which one to choose, the cards are:

      ASUS GTX550 TI/DI PCX DDR5 HDMI 1 gb

      Gigabyte gtx 650 1gb ddr5 n650oc-1gi

I have an Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q8200 2.333MHz
      3 gigabytes of DDR2 SDRAM 800MHz PC2-6400 ram
A 520W trust brand power supply that I bought a while ago, it's not the one that came pre-installed in the computer that has 12V1 - 12A and 12V2 - 16A

I've been told that the gtx550 ti performs a little better but I've read that people have had some problems with temperatures and that, supposedly, it consumes a maximum of 116W compared to the gtx 650 which I've seen consumes about 64W, I don't know if there's much difference but I also don't want to risk putting the gtx550 ti and messing up my power supply or computer, I'm not very knowledgeable about this and I've been told that my power supply might get fried with too much work and take other parts with it, is that true? or did they just want to sell me a power supply too? which graphics card would you recommend with the computer I have? Someone told me that my power supply is more than enough for this and that I should start thinking about another power supply if I put a card more powerful than these.

Thanks a lot in advance and sorry for the long post or if anyone thinks it's a silly question.

For games, I also don't want to play the latest games that come out in ultra, but I've been told that with these 2 I'm fine, that the one I have now is a geforce210 and it can't do any more, poor thing, I'm sorry I didn't put it, I thought I had done it.

            look at this
            http://support.asus.com/powersupply.aspx?SLanguage=es-es
for playing BF3 the minimum would be a 560 TI (for example)
            regards
P.D. The power supplies of bad quality fail but they fail with little load and with a lot of load and YES they can mess up your whole PC

regarding the PSU I guess it's this
                Trust 520W EcoPlus PSU Big Fan, 520 W, 12 V, 80 %, Grey, 120 mm, 30 Db: Amazon.es: Electronics
after a while looking at this TRUST Power Master 520W Pro PSU Low Noise Big Fan PW-555014996 ::: Almacen Informatico I found that the PFC is passive, that doesn't mean the PSU is crap :troll: but personally it doesn't give me much confidence (not long ago I bought a keyboard + mouse from that brand and :mad::mad::mad::mad: it drains the batteries faster than I do ?? ) so it wouldn't be a bad idea to start saving for a decent PSU
                regards
P.D tell me what you usually play and the resolutions

I agree, in that price range, 7770… if we're talking about the 650Ti, then yes, nVidia, but from the 7770 down, AMD/ATi
