Tira de RMA las R4E fallan un monton del sonido,es un problema bastante conocido por asus,normalmente ocurre si se ocea,pero es eso que a ti te ocurre que queda como sonido desabilitado.

Es que no es cosa del setup es mas un fallo de fabricacion y debes ponerte en contacto con Asus,quiza te lo arreglan o si no quieres esperar poner una tarjeta de sonido.

Me presento porque soy nuevo en este foro,aunque no en hardware.

Tu problema por desgracia,no tiene solución.Es un defecto de las Asus Rampage IV,reconocido a medias por el fabricante.Són bastantes las afectadas y no tiene solución salvo RMA.El chip de sonido de la placa,deja de funcionar correctamente.

En principio,si es el fallo al cual hago referencia,dá exactamente igual la bios.El problema es que el chip de sonido deja de funcionar.Prueba a cambiar de bios,pero no creo que se solucione.

Si seguro posteamos a la vez,quiza sea mejor meter una tarjeta de sonido y olvidarse de los RMA por que si Asus le da por arreglarla le van a tener un mes o mas sin placa,si no piensa meter 4 tarjetas le sale mejor pinchar una de sonido.

Ya no te queda ninguna R4E no? es una pena lo de esa placa con el sonido por que por lo demas es de las mejores X79.

Te dijeron que es culpa de tu placa que viene defectuosa de fábrica ¿aún no la has cambiado? :wall: El problema no tiene solución posible por tu parte según te comentan… Si sigues intentando arreglarlo sin cambiar la placa vas a conseguir que pase el tiempo y se le acabe la garantía y tengas que quedarte con una placa a la cual no le funciona el sonido.
