      Hello
I intend to retire my hard drive and I've been looking at HDDs for a while. Since I've been saving for this for 3 years, I'm going to buy the 4TB one, but I don't know which model to choose... I've looked at the features and speeds, but they all seem the same... however, Hitachi and WD are about 100 euros more expensive... and within these, there is also a big difference in prices between models... any suggestions?

These are some that I've looked at

If you have already made sure that your motherboard supports disks of 3TB or more, I would opt for the Seagate 7200RPM because it saves you problems with the 4k issue.

The Hitachi are very good HDDs, but their latest models make a clicking sound because they are parking the heads every now and then to save energy, and the WD are noisier than the others.

        Goodbye!

hello, for security, please tell me what equipment you have so I can inform you better
and in any case, it is better for you to buy two 2TB disks than one 4TB
and of all brands, the most recommended is SEAGATE, for noise, heat and good performance

            I completely agree with ferelxyx.
From my experience with external hard drives of several terabytes, it is better to have several of a smaller capacity, because each drive has between 5 and 10 percent less than the total capacity indicated by the manufacturer, so four drives of 1Tb or two of 2Tb have together more capacity in total than one of 4Tb.
The Seagate ones are very good, they are very complete and durable drives, although I also have an external WD and it makes no noise, although my model does get a little hot, because the casing is plastic and has no ventilation slots.

            Regards
