[Help] Graphics Card for ~230€
-
Hello everyone, I am planning to build a new pc, and I am turning to the forum to ask for opinions on mid-to-high range graphics cards. My idea is to play at 1920x1080 on a 22" screen with fairly high settings. It would be a pc focused on gaming, but without spending too much. Which graphics card do you recommend? I am thinking of an i7 processor and about 8gb of RAM. I have seen an EVGA GTX 660 for 215€ and the same one but from ASUS for 240€. Would that graphics card be enough? Or should I go for something higher? Thanks in advance

For that price, an HD7870 or if you reach up to ~250€, a GTX660Ti

I wouldn't look at the EVGA and even less the Asus, since the latter is cheaper and has better heat dissipation.
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 660 OC 2GB GDDR5 GV-N660OC-2GD Graphics Card
The Asus costs almost as much as a Ti and the Ti is better, more powerful.
Zotac GeForce GTX 660 Ti 2GB GDDR5 ZT-60801/60802-10P Graphics Card
Also the Zotac 660 at 195€, it's not worth getting an EVGA, it has less warranty than the Zotac.

for that money the best option is the: Gigabyte Radeon HD 7870 OC 2GB GDDR5 -225 euros
more power better dissipation etc…

and if you prefer NVIDIA the: Zotac GeForce GTX 660 Ti 2GB GDDR5 - 249 euros
do not buy the GTX 660 if it is not a Ti

I prefer NVIDIA to be honest, but ZOTAC doesn't inspire much confidence in me, of the 660 Ti it is the cheapest for something it will be, what RAM do you recommend with an i7 3770K or an i5 3570K? and while we're at it what power supply?
regards, thanks

To ask about other components, open a post in the corresponding subforum, or one in Full Configurations.
About the ZOTAC GTX660Ti, it is the only one with 5 years of warranty.
