I have a question, I would like to know what the advantages would be of using RAM in Quad Channel mode, and another thing, regarding brands in memories according to each one's criteria, on what scale between the best would you put it? for example, if you like G.SKILL more or know that this really works, you would put five stars like this.

      1-GSKILL
      2-Corsair
      3-Kingston

      etc, etc… l

your question doesn't make sense if you don't say which motherboard it is for, because only the intel 1366 tri channel and 2011 Quad Channel platforms, the rest only dual channel

regarding brands I prefer GSKILL, CORSAIR has let me down many times
and KINGSTON are good without being a gem because they almost always need more voltage than the others

        regards

          Hello

I suggest you create a poll for this that you propose of the brands (I think it is possible being a registered user)
and about the quad-channel: Multi-channel memory architecture - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
You just have to look at the advantages that the tri-channel itself presents, it is proportional. As for impressions, I have not had the privilege of trying it, but on paper the performance improvement exists, by reducing latency and increasing data speed.

When I talked about advantages, I meant what contributions can some memos in Quad Channel mode give you compared to others like Dual Channel, for example, to see if it's worth spending on a memo like that. But besides that, if one has a quad board, they have no other choice but to use it with just 1 or 2 memos mounted, but it wouldn't be the same, it wouldn't take advantage of anything on the motherboard. What I was getting to is what improvements could be made by opening more channels working with the processor, what relevant impact it would have.

The quad channel gives you more bandwidth but it's not important, nor is it that you're going to notice frequencies and you probably don't need more than 8GB but well, if you've spent a fortune on the motherboard I suppose you'll want to have at least 4x4GB to match and with high frequencies, the truth is that they have dropped in price. You could get something like this:

              G.Skill RipjawsZ DDR3 2133 PC3-17000 16GB 4x4GB CL11 F3-17000CL11Q-16GBZL DDR3 Memory

I understand and thanks for your response, look I've already ordered these memos GSKILL I think they're going to go super well with my motherboard..

The advantages that I see in a memory card, I don't care about the brand, I look at frequency, latency, voltage and price, the rest doesn't matter to me, whether they are called Corsair, G-skill Kingston or any other, if they have higher frequency, better latency, with less voltage and are cheaper, those are the ones I prefer.

It depends on the tasks you perform with the pc, if it's to play, there isn't much difference between Dualchanel and Quadchanel, for other tasks I have noticed it.

By the way, in the gaming computer I went from 2133 to 2400mhz memory and gained between 3 and 8 fps of minimums depending on the game with my configuration.

                      Best regards.

Currently I have the Gskill Ripjaws from the old X58 3x4gb 9-9-24 1600Mhz, I bought on amazon uk 1x4gb to have Quad Channel. I had the problem that it arrived defective and it took 1 month to Rma and they indicate that they will return the €
The problem is that I can't find that model(1x4gb) anywhere and to spend 65€ + Shipping on two identical ones. Then I read on forums the Asus motherboard there are models that it doesn't recognize and this Gskill model is not on the Asus website as supported memory.
Don't even look at the price increase of the Ram memories. I got the 3x4Gb for 50€ and now they are double. I just bought these:

                        http://www.4frags.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=44787&name=f3-17000cl9q-16gbzh+-+memoria+gskill+ripjawsz+4x4+2133+mhz

I hope they work, from the Asus website they indicate that they are compatible.
