Hello, good evening.
I am making a website (without having a clue). (well my girlfriend is doing it and I am paying for it (the website) and I help a little)
I decided to use the webnode platform for which I have paid a lot of money but it seems quite easy to use.
Since the domain they give you is.webnode it is a mess in the searches or so she says, we have bought one at 1and1
Now I don't know how to transfer the website to 1and1. From webnode support they tell me that I have to transfer the domain to webnode, but I think that is not what I have to do, transferring it is passing the name to their servers so that they can pay for it just like when you change your phone operator while keeping your number? what I have to do is transfer the website to 1and1 if I'm not mistaken and I don't know how to do it.
I saw a manual on webnode that explained how to do this but with gooddady and of course the panel is nothing like 1and1 and I have been unable to try...
Can anyone help me?
P.D.: I didn't know exactly where to put this topic, I hope it's okay here

Does nobody control this?

The most convenient thing is usually to have the host and the domain in the same place, otherwise you will have to configure the host data on the domain administration page and vice versa; I have never worked with 1&1 so I don't know what their page is like, but it is usually not complicated and on google you will surely find ideas:
Searching "configure host in domain 1&1": Vero4class: How to configure a 1&1 domain with blogger
Searching "webnode configure domain": Webnode - ComunidadHostingAnd if it doesn't work, ask for help from the customer service of the respective

thanks for replying tomorrow I will dedicate the day to look into that. If not I will call you
So I understand that it is not essential to transfer the domain to webnode, that webnode told me that in order to charge me :osvaisacagar: -
No, there shouldn't be a problem, although it's known that sometimes depending on the type of service you pay for, you're given more or fewer options, and if you're using the free one, they might not allow it and ask you to buy the domain with them so they can associate it. I don't know what they charged you for if it's the use of a CMS or the host.
My recommendation is that you buy host and domain in the same place, and a paid one because today it's economical and that way you ensure the service and assistance if you're looking for something reasonably professional, and the content you use some free CMS that there are quite good ones. That you've bought in different places, there's no problem because it's configurable, now if you're using some limited or free service you might have to search to associate.
Last time I had a website, I had both the host and domain (and without ads) associated and it wasn't complicated, I don't remember well but I think 000webhost and.co.cc if I'm not mistaken... Another option is to re-direct the domain you've bought to the one you already have, it's easy although it's a bit shoddy and it shouldn't be necessary.
Go into their forums, there are sure to be similar cases: transferir DOMINIO - Foro Webnode and if not, send them an email or call and ask them to explain well what service you have contracted and how you can associate a domain and if you can't because.

Thanks, because I am with the paid store la 2 which is better and costs about 200 euros a year. They give you a domain that ends in.webnode
If I had known about this, I would have bought the domain from them even though it costs 15 instead of 6 from 1 and 1 but I hadn't complicated my life, but now that I paid the 6 to 1and 1 I don't know if I should say look I lose them in total they are 6 euros and I pay them on webnode or try to move the website to that domain -
Hello again, I have been talking to 1and1 by phone and they are asking me to fill in this:Primary nameserver:
Secondary nameserver:
1st secondary nameserver:
2nd secondary nameserver:
3rd secondary nameserver:
With that it should be enough the issue is that I can't find anywhere on webnode where this is...I have sent a support request but while they are responding if anyone knows...
thanks

I'm still struggling with this...
On the 1and1 server, the different options I have are these:

And the ones from webnode tell me to put this:
Well, in case you have difficulties configuring the CNAMES in the control panel, we could try the DNS configuration, since in this case it seems to be simpler. The DNS to be configured would be the following:
- dns1.webnode.com (IP: 81.0.235.1)
- dns2.webnode.com (IP: 94.138.111.98)
We hope that this will be faster and more effective. Please do not hesitate to consult us for any questions regarding this.
Well, I don't know where the hell to put that to be honest, I'm going crazy, what a mess not buying it from the same place...
