I bought a new ssd and I wanted to put win 7 ultimate 64 on it, but it doesn't recognize it, neither the motherboard nor the OS.
I updated the bios and checked that it was in AHCI (it was like that by default)
Motherboard: maximus V formula
Processor: i7 3770k
RAM: 4x kingston hyperx 10º anniversary 4G/module (16G total)
I installed win 7 ultimate 32 on a normal hdd and it works perfect, but even so in the installation it didn't detect the ssd, not even after it was installed.
What do I do? -
If it doesn't recognize it using the same SATA port and cable as with the mechanical HDD, start thinking about trying it on another motherboard before you give up:dead:
Salu2!

Yes, first try on another board, but it already happened to me with two SSDs, one came dead. OCZ Agility 3.

nothing, it doesn't detect me, I've already developed a dislike for ocz

If you just bought it and it has been less than 7 days, they have to change it on the spot. If it is less than 6 months, the store will check if it is not working and give you another one, if it is more, you will have to do it directly with Ocz, because some stores wait eons to bring it back-replaced

ok, thanks for the help
