The Bigwater 760 is not that great, so your temperatures are acceptable, but with some OC, they would no longer be acceptable <:(

About the PC Probe, check if it shows you the instant temperature, and how often it takes the reading, because you can probably configure the interval between readings, and the type of information that the graph shows (direct reading, averages of several cores, etc...).

That being said, I would use the Real Temp.

I have the reading intervals to test this problem every second. Assuming that the cooling is terrible, I still don't understand that temperature drop when I stop stressing the CPU. So my question is whether that oscillation is normal when loading and leaving the CPU idle, I will put below the values that these readings give me if I activate and deactivate prime95:

Under load---57 at rest-----18
Under load-----61 at rest-----21
Under load-----63 at rest-----20

And this way I can keep going all day, the temperatures I show are peaks that asus probe shows me in about 2 seconds, which is how long it takes me to activate and deactivate prime95. And another thing, if you tell me that asus probe is based on the temperature of the cores, I still don't understand that drastic drop that not even the core with the lowest temperature reaches 20 or 18, it's more that they drop to 32 and over time it stabilizes at 25 or so.

And to measure the temperature, I do use realtemp since I got the PC.

Another thing, if I'm not mistaken, we are talking about the temperature that is not good for me is the Tclass

It should be noted that you should not use more than one temperature monitoring program at the same time, as it can give incorrect readings.

With Real Temp, you have readings from each core, which are more real but also vary more drastically, and you can have several degrees of difference between them, which can be misleading if you analyze them separately.

Regarding PC Probe, I am not sure if it shows the temperature of each core, an average of them, or from some probe on the board, and personally I would not use it as a reliable reference.

Regarding what you call "T class", do you not mean T Case, which is the maximum temperature of the processor before it shuts down.

Thanks for your response. I have tested what you told me, as I did not know that using several programs could cause a conflict between them.

And regarding the "T class" thing, I meant "T case", my mistake, as I think that's what Asus marks. I tried it and it didn't measure correctly since it gave me a peak of 72 degrees this afternoon. Knowing that on the Intel page the temperature of this micro (i7 3770K) is 67.4 degrees.

I rely on the readings from Real Temp and, for the sake of it, I'll put here the result I got this afternoon:

4.5 Ghz at 1.25 Vcore in manual, temperature 80 degrees hottest core and 78 degrees the coldest with 26 degrees ambient. Stressed with Linx for 30 minutes. What do you think?

With such a simple RL, you shouldn't be doing OC :sadgirl:

Going over 65ºC even if it's just a peak, means that the cooling needs to be improved.

Get at least a Corsair Hydro H80i, H100i, NZXT Kraken X40 or X60, or a kit from Swiftech.

You can put another radiator, but I think it's a better option to switch from Thermaltake.

This motherboard has a lot of issues with monitoring, it marks false voltages of 24v on the 12V line, if that were the case everything would be fried.

The other day I got an alarm for vcore 0.000, very economical, it doesn't consume anything.

I've tested it with several programs, all together at the same time, one by one, in a thousand ways. Running linx with oc at 3.9 is like saying from home and they all have something wrong with them. I think I need to take this motherboard to get it checked out because it's still under warranty

If it marks it wrong, send it to warranty, you should look in the UEFI, the hardware monitor section and if it marks wrong I would certainly use the warranty because maybe this motherboard is defective and could possibly break down when it's out of warranty, I wouldn't wait too long, contact the one who sold it to you to process the warranty if it's still valid.

Before that, check if there's a BIOS update

the latest BIOS is 2003, maybe with that it will work well for you.
