Hello, I don't know if anyone has asked this before, but I don't understand why all the motherboards for Intel 1150 chips incorporate a graphics card, considering that Intel 1150 Haswell chips already incorporate a graphics card, and that most likely anyone who builds a desktop PC will buy a PCI-E graphics card, which is why they put these PCI-E 3.0 16x slots on these boards.
I can understand that an 1150 processor, being an APU, has integrated graphics, after all it can be installed in many more places that are not desktop PCs, what I don't understand is why 1150 motherboards incorporate this integrated graphics card, in my opinion it's throwing money away.

Someone explain it to me, I'm probably ignorant.

you are wrong the boards do not have graphics, the graphics are from the micro, the board has the connections to
use the processor's graphics, if not where do you connect the monitor

        regards

          Welcome to the forum. ???

I understand that what you are referring to is that you already have graphics "yes or yes", regardless of whether your idea is to take advantage of the integrated one or buy a separate video card.
It must be taken into account that computer science, like any business, tries to cover all needs, and there is a market for this type of computer where the graphics come integrated.
It is up to the end user to inform themselves and evaluate if a certain product is really worth it... and for that (humbly) we are here. ;D

The boards do not incorporate graphics, they have the connections, either DVI or HDMI, but the graphics are inside the processors, so you won't have problems to put the graphics card you want Pcie.

If you don't put a dedicated Pcie graphics card, you can work with the CPU's one but the board doesn't have IGP, it's the CPU's one, besides that depending on the CPU you put in it could have a different IGP, more or less powerful.

If you put a dedicated one then the dedicated one will work, but the boards only have the video connections and not all of them, it can have VGA, DVI, HDMI and even DP, but the card is not on the board it's on the CPU.

            regards
