      As of this Wednesday, there are official development documents for the implementation of the new USB standard.

      It improves the scalability of the 3.0 system and lays the groundwork for achieving transfers of 10Gb/s (suck it Intel Thunderbolt:troll:).

      Salu2!

          @Tecnho:

          I think I haven't used 3.0 yet XDD I'm fine with it

          Really?, well it does have it jajaja. The 3.0 was a necessity because the 2 was very slow, but now I don't see a need for more speed for what it's aimed at; but the Thundervolt goes in another direction, its big problem is the price which is a real madness, but I don't think the latencies allow you to connect a graphics card via USB which you can do with Thundervolt.

            Yes, I haven't needed one yet, but I will buy a pen drive soon since I have 3 PCs with USB 3.0, but I don't use them anymore, you see...

              I already have two USB 3.0 devices, the external 2Tb drive and the docking station, but I've only used them 2 or 3 times each... I feel guilty xD

                I agree with Bm4n, with the USB 3.0 rate (for now) there is more than enough.

                But what I am not convinced about is the willingness of manufacturers to implement USB 3.0.

                From minute 1 the boards have had support for this technology, but it wasn't until almost 2 years later that devices (boxes with front connections, cases for HD, HUB, etc..) were seen with a price that was nothing short of prohibitive.

                That the same box for an external HD costs you 25€ more just for being USB 3.0, seems to me to be nothing short of not wanting to sell it.:wall:

                Best regards

                  I have been using USB3, unofficially on my motherboard, the P5Q with the "PCIE USB" from Asus, and I actually bought it because the external hard drive was cheaper (USB3 than USB2), and I already put it in and there it is, and I also found a deal on a 16GB USB3 Pen from Adata, and they also fly by when you're in a hurry.

                    Don't believe Nemo either, they're not that expensive, the issue is that they were giving away the usb2 because the controller doesn't cost much and they want to clear out the stock. But buying a usb2 hard drive is throwing money away.
