CD/DVD virtualization does not work

I have a problem with virtualizing the DVD/CD drive. First I tried Alcohol 120 and when I mounted an ISO image, the PC took a long time to read it and started to freeze. I installed Alcohol on another PC and the installer worked fine. I also installed Daemon Tools and I had the same problem, and in the same way, BurnAware doesn't work. I don't know what's wrong. I already tested my RAM and everything is fine. I also tested the hard drive and it doesn't have any problems (Hiren's Boot). What do you think could be the problem when virtualizing a DVD/CD reader and the Windows 7 that I installed works fine on another PC? I have a

The virtualization of the system has nothing to do with that of a DVD. The fact that Windows doesn't run badly on another PC doesn't mean yours is fine. Try running a program like CCleaner to see if you have any leftovers. But if the same program works on another computer, it's your system.

I have already formatted the Windows 7 and the first thing I did was install the antivirus and then I installed a DVD/CD viewer, and I get the same problem (note that I formatted it, I did not install Windows on top of the other), I have already removed the power cables from the fiscal reader, I also removed the RAM memory and put it back and it still has the same problem, I have already checked that the cables are not loose, I have the same antivirus installed on my other PC with alcohol and it works well, but the problem persists

It may seem silly but, what if you try to extract the iso with winrar?. If it gives you any kind of error in winrar then it should be a matter of the ram, which although you have tested it, something may not have tested it well.
If it doesn't give the error then I don't know what it could be. You would have to search on google if anyone with your motherboard has had any kind of problem with any of the programs you use.

As Fassou says, it seems to me that you have some kind of problem somewhere in the system. It's not normal that when you install the program to virtualize DVDs/CDs, WinRAR throws an error.

and every time I restarted the PC with a DVD in the drive, this problem disappeared. It is very strange because when the DVD is inserted and the PC is restarted, it works fine, but when the DVD is removed, this error occurs (when I turn on the PC and put in the DVD, it doesn't work, only restarting with a DVD or CD works without any problems). It doesn't access USB drives, DVD, or virtual DVD, but it does access the hard drive. I thought it was the physical DVD drive, so I disconnected all the cables from the drive, but the problem still persists. Another thing is that the person who sold me the PC partitioned it incorrectly and was trying to install Windows on a 100MB drive. Since he couldn't, he installed it on another one. I thought that was the problem, so I merged the two partitions: the first one is 100MB and the one is 100GB, but I still didn't solve the problem. One more thing: when Windows starts on my PC, Windows creates a fictitious disk that doesn't exist and then disappears only when the Windows system starts.

We will start with the basics, as if we had bought a new computer with blank hard drives.

1. Previously, we backed up all the files we don't want to lose, and gathered the drivers we will need for installation.
2. We start the installation of windows from scratch, deleting the existing partitions and creating them again.
3. We establish a partition C with 10 GB, we format it as NTFS (do not use the quick mode), we can partition the rest of the hard drive here and format it later.
4. Once we have completed the formatting of C, we install the operating system.
5. Once installed, we proceed with the installation of drivers, acting according to the physical scheme: motherboard, VGA, sound, multimedia peripheral drivers and finally the connection device drivers. (Some drivers require DirectX libraries, so we will install them on request).
6. On the other hand, there is the configuration of the exchange file (virtual memory) whose minimum and maximum size must coincide, being this (with today's RAM configuration) from 2.1 GB to 4.5 GB. Configuring the exchange file on a different hard drive from the operating system will increase performance in an appreciable way, which is why it is advisable to mount two drives that are somewhat smaller than just one huge one.
7. Antivirus, compressors and the programs of daily use after that. Once we have arrived here, we create a restore point without sparing expenses.

When you have that hard drive well conditioned, I could assure you that everything will work as it is supposed to.

For now, that is enough, I leave the matter of having to connect and disconnect the drives for another day.

it's a bit laborious but I'm going to do it whoololon and thanks, a comment I want to add before that, not knowing what the problem was I tried to solve the problem with a free distribution in this case I used ubuntu 10.0.4 I ran it as a live cd and installed ACETONEISO which is also a virtualizer and it worked well for me everything is wonderful, oh and the windows I have has all the essential programs and they work well, I also installed the drivers for the motherboard everything, currently I have the programs that run well VMware Workstation, MATLAB, Microsoft office, postgres, Oracle VM VirtualBox, AutoCAD 2012, antivirus the essentials, everything but not the dvd/cd virtualizer
