Hello:
I'm going to receive in a few days a laptop with 2 bays for 2.5" drives
One already comes mounted (1Tb) and I was thinking of installing Windows 8 on a 128 Mb SSD
For me, a 256Mb SSD is not necessaryI've read something and I see that the Samsung 840 Pro is good, but I want something more reliable than good, because the change I'm going to have from a HDD to an SDD will already be amazing, even if the performance is not the best in SSDs
From what I've read in:
AnandTech | Samsung SSD 840 (250GB) ReviewI almost think an MLC is better than a TLC
What do you think?
Any model of what I'm looking for? Thanks

128 MB or 128 GB?
With 128 MB you can't do anything xD

HHH, buy the one that best suits your needs and your budget. I have one with 128gb and raid5, so I only have the system and programs installed on the SSD: corel photoshop office and others. I don't think you'll use more than 5-6 games, and I don't think any will exceed 15gb installed, and if so, install the ones you really use.
Samsung is giving 5 years of warranty on their drives, so it can't be bad.
The MLC vs TLC thing is according to an estimate of using 10gb a day. It will be more than amortized after 3.5 years. -
The 5-year warranty is for the 840 Pro, not the 840 (plain).
I think Samsung currently offers the best value for money and performance. But that's just my opinion.
Best regards -
I meant 128Gb ;D
Which one would you choose between these two for quality/price ratio?
Samsung 840 Evo SSD Series 120GB SATA3 MZ-7TE120BW Solid State Drive
Samsung 840 Pro SSD Series 128GB SATA3 Basic Kit MZ-7PD128BW Solid State Drive -
for me the crucial m500 is giving me good results considering its price.
