Hello everyone, I'm going to buy an **alienware 17 laptop** You recommend that I choose the screen "**17.3 inch (439.42 mm) WLED FHD (1920 x 1080) Anti-Glare Display**" what do you think? I don't have much idea so if you tell me it's good I'll believe it, that's why I prefer to ask you first. Thanks!! -

Official Alienware Launch Discussion Thread17.3" FullHD - TN 1920x1080
Luminance 300/250
Contrast 500:1
Color Gamut 72%Panel Tn, no IPS o PLS que son mejores, with anti-glare treatment, which to me is the same as the screens of yesteryear without the crap of brite crystal and so on, which in Acer laptops would break just by looking at them.
At least the color gamut is large, and they use white leds to illuminate the screen and not blue ones, which make colors look a lot better. In the end you decided on the Alienware, assembled by Dell

The worst thing I see is the SSD, but since it's something that can be changed, it's perfect. But:

I know it's not relevant, but these laptops are really not worth carrying anywhere, not even to put on your lap on the sofa, and in the end the battery ends up getting damaged... I think it's a waste of money since with €1800 in a miniPC you can build a much better system in every way. Even Apple has abandoned the 17" ones...
And they were half as thin as these.
I don't know what you're going to use it for, but if it's as a desktop PC, don't buy a laptop, there are very small towers that don't take up space. If it's as a laptop, take advantage and buy one with a touchscreen to be able to use W8 decently. And if it's as a kind of all-in-one, with €1800 you can get a good desktop and a convertible laptop with a touchscreen that will give you much more.
I know some of you will kill me for this, but paying for a damn alien logo... If it were still the Apple logo, it would be understandable.

It's great, but it has 8 Gb less Ram, and I would like it to have something more than a Tb in hard drives, can I put it on the mountain?
-
Sure. Look at the enlargements.
-
Claro.

Better to have it. In that type of equipment, even though the cooling is good, it is advisable. Especially if you are going to have it working all day.
I have no idea about the materials, but they will solve your doubt when you call.Regards
